Thank you fbfan for this post. He also had 2330 all purpose yds and according to Maxpreps led the country in INTs. But I guess we must have been playing against all middle school teams to not get noticed. He had quite a career at GC, over 3000 yds rec. and over 5000 all purpose yds. and 44 tds. He is my kid and I`m pretty darn proud of him.

Oh we believe in them whole heartedly. But because we haven`t played the tougher schedule than NCC , we don`t have a chance according to everyone on here. The only prediction I have made is I don`t think the game will be a blowout. If NCC some how has an off night, and we have a great night, it could be interesting. I`m sure that comment will rub some the wrong way, but we aren`t going into this game to lose.

Not trying to split hairs, But GC and Prestonburg has the least amount of players on their roster. That being said, having a successful program over several years helps bring more players to the program. And as I said before, this is just an excuse. I`ve noticed reading posts all year about other teams, that they have excuses too. We`ll come out and play Friday, and try to put on a good show.

Well seeing as this will be our last game, maybe. The Lloyd game we didn`t have our best 2 linemen playing, excuse, yes. We did beat Walton and we did shut down HC run game which no one on here thought could happen. NCC is one of the elite HS teams in the state, no doubt about it. Here is another excuse just for GC sake. We don`t have the player pool that a lot of the elite teams do, so we try to make the best with what we have. 10-2 in a weak district, I`ll take it and be proud of what ours kids have accomplished this year. If we get beat by 50, I know these kids at the end of the game have played their hearts out, and never gave up. And the scores and schedule can be seen on KHSAA website, it`s no secret. We have new grandstands and pressbox. We even have real stadium lights like the big schools do. So everyone come on down Friday and be entertained. According to all the experts on here, it should be a blowout, so everybody up in NKY should be happy and relieved NCC is playing GC. Easy road to Bowling Green.

Yes they sure did take it to the wire. HC is a very good team despite their record. Wasn`t meaning to take anything away from the team. I only posted this because of all the hype about their running game. We have had problems during the season at times giving up a lot of rushing yds. So we are very proud that it didn`t happen with this game.

I don`t normally post on here, but I couldn`t forget something that was posted the other day about this game. It was said that Holy Cross would have 400 yds rushing against GC. Beal was held to less than 50 and their QB to 89 I think. Now I know respect is earned in football and GC may not be a powerhouse like the" NKY" teams everybody talks about. But we will just keep plugging away and see where we end up.

Nate McCoy is a senior, he is 5`11" 155 4.53 40 and 4.3 shuttle time. No offers yet, Mount Saint Joseph and Union College has shown a lot of interest. He`s been going to camps since he was a fresh. He was at the U.C. senior camp in June and did very well, probably top 5 at that camp. Morehead State and the Mount camp as well. He has 9 int and 336 yd in 9 attempts on kickoff returns with 98 and 91 td. 1289 all purpose yds and 14 tds

Nate McCoy from Gallatin County has 626 on 34 rec. but I guess if your not from a well known school, stats don`t get noticed as much.

Nate hasn`t done to bad this year. He`s only had 2 kickoff returns for td`s. 98 and 91,9 ints, 14 tds, and 626 yds rec. But being from Gallatin County, that doesn`t get noticed by many.

We have a good core of seniors this season that`s been together since 2nd grade. Our problem is we don`t have a lot of depth. If we stay healthy, we should be good. If we loose a couple key players, we will be not so good,lol
