When will the Rosters be announced!

Soon!

Jalen Beal, RB, Covington Holy Cross has been invited to play for KY.

Awesome game for the players. I experienced this last year with my son and it was first class all the way. BTW Kentucky won so this year make it two in a row.

Looks like the Tennessee roster has been posted, but not KY yet. See link in post #1.

Kentucky roster has been posted. See link in post #1.

Tn looks loaded, can't say the same for the Ky team

What is the series record?

I keep going to the link and I sure don`t see a roster for either team, only 2013. I must be missing something here, lol

Ok now I see it. Don`t see the name I thought for sure would be on it. Thank you Shondue

I don't understand the selection process for this? How can a player that lead the state in INT's (14), have 70 tackles, 4 fumble recoveries, 70 tackles, 1200 yds receiving, 14 TD receptions, 6 rushing TDs, score 150 pts, return 2 punts for TD's and 2 kickoffs for TDs not be picked for this team? These stats are for Nate McCoy - Gallatin Co. Maybe he's from the wrong part of the state. The only NKY player that I see was Beal from Holy Cross, and McCoy outplayed him in their playoff game. I know that Gallatin is a small school, and did not get the publicity that most bigger schools get, but players like him don't come around too often at a program like Gallatin. So, when they do you'd hope that they'd get recognized. And I hope no one gets on here and says that the coach didn't nominate or promote him, because I know for a fact that is not true.

The process is a bit confusing it seems. This past summer I attended the Border Bowl Combine along with a teammate and I was not selected either. And to be honest, the competition at the combine was not at the highest levels. I assume you have to be nominated by your head coach. Which, IMO, is a dumb way to pick an All-Star team. But congratulations to the KY selectees and represent KY proud!

If you're picking a All-Star team for an All-Conference team, then that's when coaches pick and vote for kids. But for an All-Star team representing the state, you need to have a board of people who are not coaches.

One thing I do admire is the coaches in which did promote his player for this bowl. If a player is good enough in a coaches eye to play in the game, then the coach should do everything he can to promote the player.

For the record, I don't understand the process either.
