Something that was new this year: The Border Bowl Combine. Players had to be recommended by their coaches to attend the Combine and were told this was a way of looking at the potential players for the Border Bowl. I was at the Combine and saw the players, I just wonder how many player were selected from the Combine. I also, wonder how many coaches thought they did not have to nominate players again that were already recommended for the Combine.
