The D was fine tonight.

 

The Barker interception hit the kid in the hands, then his chest, bounced up and Cox intercepted it. Happened at about the AC 5 yard line. Huge play.

 

The XP play looked like an intentional fake from where I stood. I just want to know why.

5 playoff wins the last 5 years with 5 VERY talented teams. No excuses. We can nitpick all we want. Just didn't get it done. For the first tme in quite some time I think there is a serious question mark at QB next year. Getting ahead of myself but I'll be curious to see how the team does.

Just as I suspected. Where are all the folks that predicted an EASY Conner win? At some point and time you have to plays solid DEFENSE for 4 qtrs. You can't always just outscore everyone.

I am right here, but still kinda speechless. I was totally unimpressed with AC when Cooper played them and STILL maintain that had Ludwig been able to return from the injury, this game would have been played in Hebron last night and who knows what the outcome would have been?? AC was flat against the Jags, sounds like Conner had a ton of miscues last night. Any given Friday night......

He has a long, long way to go to do that IMO. Maybe they don't have anyone else ahead of him that is better and he will get the job, but he is not ready for that now. He has to work like he has never worked before in the off season to make me eat those words.

As I read about the game in the paper, call me shocked. Unfortunate that Barker struggled so much. Still, Conner was in position to win this and just didn't get the job done at the end of the game. I know Conner has struggled with their kicking game all year, but I seriously question going for two points with over 6 minutes left in the game and momentum going Conner's way. Tie the game up there and it is a completely different approach over the last 6 minutes.

I'd be real curious to know what offensive formations Conner ran. IF they watched Cooper/AC game film they should of seen if you run a 4 WR sets AC had trouble covering the receivers. Cooper ran 4 WR sets and had guys open all night because AC couldn't double recievers the entire night. AC had to keep a safety back to help out on anything over the top which left the middle wide open and when they kept the safety in to cover the middle the outside was open. If Conner only ran 2 or 3 WR's sets that help explains why the passing game last night wasn't there. Just curious on what they ran last night.
