Will Beatty continue to work his playoff magic this post season?

I sincerely hope the predictions for T's continued success are correct.

This year seems to be a different breed of cat - in alot of different ways. I would like to see the Rocks play again next week.

Good luck and GO ROCKS !!!!

One of my favorite Trinity stats.......the Rocks are a perfect 8-0 in playoff games that went into overtime.

Coach Beatty's Trinity teams have played only one, the 34-28 win over St. Xavier in 2007.

Other victims include Ryle '99, Male '96, Doss '94, Boone County '88, DeSales '86, St. Xavier '83, and Fern Creek '78.

Make Beatty's record 60-3 in the playoffs. The Rocks will need another outstanding effort versus Male. Beatty has lost to the same team twice only once in his career.

2013 the year the Rocks crumble! :D

I heard that whenever a Beatty Trinity team played a team in the playoffs which had beaten them in the regular season Trinity won the playoff game every time. Don't know if this is true.

Only time it didn't happen that way was 2009.

The 'Neers have their hands full playing in Shively, KY. Little ole Trinity can take care of itself.

If you come for the King, you best not miss. Until someone dethrones Bob Beatty, Trinity is the team to beat.

A few years ago I went to a Thanksgiving morning practice. During a water break I noticed that the team was laughing and joking, the assistant coaches were chatting and coach Beatty was standing off to the side looking like a volcano that was barely contained. As soon as the break ended they were all back at it with the focus and attention that he demands. When practice ended there were a lot of small kids that went out on the field. Coach Beatty was laughing and talking to those kids and others that were there as if he didn't have a worry in the world. I don't think anyone can appreciate the intensity and focus he demands from himself and all those around him without seeing it in person. I think you saw the results on Friday. Win or lose, I expect to see that same focus from the team the rest of the way.

Where did Coach Beatty coach before he came to T? Is he from the Louisville area? Go to T?

I'm just curious because he's obviously done a great job.

He coached at Blue Springs High School in suburban Kansas City. No ties to Trinity prior to being hired.

Thanks TAlum! Whomever was on the search committee sure did their homework and selected an excellent coach.

AD Dennis Lampley was the big guy in the search. The first time the job was offerred to Coach Beatty, he turned it down because his daughter was entering her senior year of high school. The job was given to Coach Kevin Wright (also an excellent choice and the current coach at Carmel in Indianapolis). For family reasons, Coach Wright had to leave after one year. At the time, Coach Beatty was thinking of leaving coaching because he didn't feel the administration at his school was as serious about football as he was. Coach Lampley called and it has worked out well for everyone involved.
