November 5, 201312 yr My sound was going out every time I changed the channel. So a tech came out and switched my hookup from an HDMI cord to component. I'm not happy... I would be pissed. If they unhooked my HDMI and used the components instead I'd want to pay maybe half the price each month until they got it fixed.
November 5, 201312 yr Cbell sent this to me: Dear Valued Cincinnati Bell Fioptics Subscriber, On Sunday, we experienced a widespread outage that impacted thousands of Fioptics customers. We sincerely apologize and will be reaching out to affected customers to make this right. The vast majority of Fioptics TV service has been restored. If you are still experiencing service issues, please reboot your set-top box by unplugging it, waiting 3 minutes and plugging it back in. If you have tried this are still not back in service, please call us at 513-565-9890. Thank you, Mark Fahner Vice President of Consumer Products Cincinnati Bell This is funny. When I called them on Tuesday after the Sunday outage to complain about missing the Bengals game and the World Series (I actually went to Barleycorn's so it wasn't that bad), they told me I would be receiving an email with regard to what they were going to do to 'make it right' for their customers. I told them that was fine, I would wait for the email. I wanted to confirm which email address they had on file so I could keep a look out for it. The girl went to check and came back on line and said..... 'it doesn't look like we have one for you, can I get your email address'. lol. It is completely a joke. Still waiting on the email letting me know what they are going to do to 'make it right'. Has anyone received their email yet?
November 5, 201312 yr ^ Just horrible management, something that has plagued them for the last 15 years. No shock it's stock price sits under $3 a share. All they have to do is offer a decent TV package that works and they will eventfully get TWs business. Everyone hates TW. Sadly the same will be true for CB it sounds like.
November 5, 201312 yr ^ I have TW, I don't hate it, but I would jump at a chance for something better and I don't believe CB is any better and if I go with them I jerked around on my Net bandwidth. No line of sight for Direct or Dish...
February 22, 201610 yr Mine is fine...haven't missed a beat. You weren't down like everyone else? I was down , as in no TV, for about 24 hours. Still having issues with the DVR.
February 22, 201610 yr We didn't have any issues. However the in-laws who live 5 minutes away are having all kinds of trouble. Lost everything on their DVR and their favorite setup.
February 22, 201610 yr Haven't had any loss of service, didn't even know they were upgrading. You can tell by looking at your menus or DVR recordings. If it looks the same you didn't get upgraded.
