With a lot of new starters the case could certainly be made that they've improved a lot since a preseason scrimmage, particularly if they beat Elder. The PT game is certainly a red flag.

I would rather not...that would mean my logic for why a team should have been ranked #1 would be fallible... I guess Plan B to this argument is to say that Bowling Green has won more consecutive games against KY teams (even with players who have long since graduated). Well... at least that is how most people defended a certain team's ranking until Male beat them.
