Trust me the feeling is 100% mutual. Anyone who would publicly ridicule a high school player the way you have roasted Nagle is classless.

I really wonder why there are so many excuses being brought up by some.

Trinity had shown a chink in their armor from the beginning of the season. Nothing earth shattering. They just aren't as good this year as the last few years. Nothing wring with that. M is the better team this year, no problem.

 

Some T fans have repeatedly said T is the best team blah blah blah. Well long before this week they were already behind at least another team in the state. Some didn't want to acknowledge the other team and kept with the silly stance that until another Ky team beats them they are still the best. Well that last stand isn't an argument anymore. T can still win state and re group but it is clear they aren't the best team in state. I'd put them #4 right now behind BG, Male, and Highlands.

I must say, seeing this score brought a smile to my face!

 

This is nothing against Trinity. I have nothing but respect for the Rock's program and what they have accomplished.

 

The problem in Kentucky 6A football is that the public teams have not been competitive in many moons. It has created a situation where Trinity wins the championship EVERY year, with the exception of when St. X has won. I have experienced this first-hand when my Henry Clay Blue Devils with stacked teams lost in the semi-finals three straight years to Trinity (2005, 2006, and 2007). Each of these years, I honestly thought Henry Clay might have the better team, but the games were really not close.

 

The Male win gives hope for the crowning of a new 6A champion besides Trinity or even St. Xavier. A little more balance and not total domination in Kentucky 6A football would be refreshing. The public schools need to finally step up because Trinity and even St. X aren't going to lay down.

One I'm not anonymous. Two, if you want me to say everything is peaches and cream when it isn't, I won't do that. If he played bad, I will report that. If he missed every receiver and didn't make his correct reads I will report that. On the flip side, if he played great I will report that. If he led X to a victory I will report that. You're making me out to be a Nagle hater, when in reality I'm a realist.

I'm sure it's been mentioned already but I have a feeling that this loss makes T a more dangerous team than they were before. At least it does if they respond like many championship teams do. Even so, the close scores in Louisville and SC's blow out of Bryan Station sure makes it look like any of the 5 could win it.

I'm not making false excuses, saying its a rebuilding year. I also said it was a possibility at the beginning of the season, just last week the T camp were all prophets when stating they wouldn't lose in Ky. They spoke it to be truth, not a possibility.

I was and remain confident the Trinity staff will right the ship and lead the Rocks to victory in the state final. Scott County could win it. Simon Kenton could win it. Male could win it.

Trinity players and coaches and supporters expect to win EVERY SEASON. You may think it is arrogant. The better programs always EXPECT to WIN! Was I surprised by the outcome last night? Certainly. History was against Male. The Bulldogs executed their game plan and pulled off the upset.

X expects to win every contest as well, and given the way Nagle has stepped up his performance, X could win as well. I must apologize about my anonymity to the posters on this site, but I'm not anonymous to anyone in the X program.

Wakefield is going to be a force for the next 2 years. He has tremendous ball skills and excellent speed.

I never blamed a previous team fella, read the details. I said they reminded me of a previous squad. How in the world could a team 9 years ago have anything to do with how this one played? All I am saying is that I see some similarities. Goodness gracious.

 

I will give you that. I didn't say it the correct way....should have said "refers" instead of blame. You knew what I meant. Most times on here if there is a negative (a loss, a "insert whatever here") about a T football team, the 2004 team gets mentioned. I think that's so old and stupid.
