I want to shake Hoover's hand

That is funny, intentionally or not.

Kentucky House Minority Leader Jeff Hoover on Tuesday ripped a new rule by the KHSAA that discourages schools form allowing students to shake hands following sporting events, saying the association’s commissioner and board members should be sacked.

 

“I am so upset. Julian Tackett, the commissioner, and any other KHSAA board member who supported this policy should be IMMEDIATELY AND FORTHWITH FIRED!” Hoover, a Jamestown Republican and a former high school football player, wrote on Facebook.

 

In his post, Hoover wrote the decision was a “clear sign of stupidity.”

 

When Hoover took to Twitter to vent his frustration there, Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer wrote, “These folks at KHSAA aren’t known for great decisions for student-athletes. This one is the worst.”

Jeff Hoover is either a moron OR he's playing to the lowest of his base. I respect neither.

 

Mr Tackett is guilty of one thing - a poorly-worded and lengthy message that did not get interpreted properly.

 

To have Mr Hoover jump up and down screaming about firing someone speaks more about him than it does anything.

 

Mr Thayer should also be smarter than throwing generalities out there.

 

He , too, has to know how to read an ENTIRE release and then make a decision. Unfortunate and sad.

I have no agenda against the KHSAA at all and I think the release was worded very poorly.

I would wager that Hoover and Thayer both annually lament low reading comprehension scores on end-of-year testing around the commonwealth.

Julian Tackett has got to be a Liberal Democrat. No way a Republican does this stuff. I heard he voted for Obama too.

No doubt. If he were a Republican he would make all players wear flag pins, say the pledge before the game, hang the Ten Commandments above the court, and require the school administrations to lead all Hispanic players away from the competition.
