I guess since BG beat St X the past 2 years and X was getting them at there place for a shot at redemption, that they weren't into the game with BG like they were with T. I realize T is a rivalry game and a big rivalry game at that, but, I'd argue that X was still really fired up and ready to go vs BG, especially since in the preseason, most X fans were clammoring about this being there best team in several years. Yet, BG led throughout and for the most part, X never seriously threatened to take the lead as BG pretty much had there way, while T struggled with X and pulled away late in the 4th and X right in till the very end. The T/X game was much more competitive than the BG/X game. Now, we can claim that every team T has played are the best teams to ever grace the earth and if any other Ky team played them, there record wouldn't be any better. Maybe and I'd even say probably, but, it's not like T beat them either, so, what's the point? Isn't a common opponent a better measuring stick. Noone, not even the BG fans are claiming they've played a better schedule either. I think most reasonable fans know that the teams T's played are better than the teams anyone else in the state has played and for that,I think T will be better for it come playoff time, but, that, in no way, says they're automatically the best in Ky this year. All it says is they've played the toughest schedule and what T has done the past 5-6 years really has absolutely nothing to do with this year. All that says is that T's been the best program in Ky the past several years, but, that doesn't make them the best this particular year. I think T has been the best team in Ky the past few years and I dont think you'd get much argument from many people and maybe the Rock fans, like Bama fans, feel it's a given every year or they have some kind of right to it because of there past, but, it just doesn't work that way , not every year, maybe the majprity, but, not every year and this just happens to be one that isn't.

tonight? No...I didn't it's rivalry....we've now won 7 straight...against, arguably the what? 2nd, 3rd, 4th, best team in state? There's no other team in our state that can say that.....

I have an honest question. If rivalry is the explanation for the close game, then how exactly did the rivalry aspect affect both teams? Did it only serve to make X play above their expectations? Why didn't it also affect T in the same way? Wouldn't such a big rivalry game make both teams play harder, above their abilities?

Since Trinity is only concerned with what they can control in 6A and bringing home that trophy I am confused as to why the Trinity faithful are concerned so much with Bowling Green or justifying margins of victory.

I actually don't think this game was close....did the score get close at times? Yes......but I never, ever thought it was in doubt....not like I did in the playoffs last year.

Ahh....I don't see it that way.....what about the best opponent they played, vs the best opponent that we've played?

Even if BG and Trinity played the next 4 years that still wouldn't prove that Trinity was better than BG in 2013.
