I remember those teams but don't remember that kind of talent on them.

 

I recall Tony Massey was the QB LB/S and went to UK. Fletcher the RB went to Union or somewhere like that.

 

Wonder if any of the Jumper or Hounds fans can give us details?

How many of those guys are still playing football?

I can think of eight D-1 players(no wku,g-town,eku, etc. included) off the top of my head that played on the 1997 St.X state championship team.I need to double check an old roster because I may be leaving out a player or two. If so that team may have the most ever on one team. Justin Haydock-UK,Bernard Jackson-Tenn.,Chris Sheehan-UK& BC or ND,Chip Mattingly-UL,Will Rabatin-UL,Matt Huff-UK,Phil Mettling-BC,Ben Boscher-Penn St. I will double check and circle back.

Somebody from Manual needs to get on here with the info for the 1959 team that had between 13 and 17 scholarship players, most of whom were what we would call D1 (Alabama, Mich. State, etc.)

Well...sadly injuries forced Mills, Lawson, and Marlow out of football and off the field conflicts with Cain kept him from going to the next level. Currently Stradley remains playing.

Freak injuries at that!!!!

You add the fact that when these guys were Freshan and Sophomores in 94 they were joined by Craig Yeast UK and Jay Parks UK and Jule Brown UK. Also the Moore brothers signed with U of L and then transfered to EAstern I think.

 

 

Harrodsburg has had as much talent as anybody. I believe they have a guy starting his 11th season in the pros this year. Jason Dunn of the Kansas City chiefs. But, Harrodsburg has always had talent. This talent level added to Mercer's team will be welcomed with open arms. We had close to a 1000 people at our scrimmage last night. Go TITANS!

I have to think there's a Trinity team out there with as many.

With all the success that Trinity has had, you would surely think so. Is Petrino still the QB there?

I am not sure but I think the 1989 Paducah Tilghman team had more than 9. I know 5 of them went to UK.

PT is another great team. I thought for sure they were going to challenge Boyle a couple of years ago for the 3A title. Man that was a team they had. What was that back's name and did he sign with anybody?

Trinity very rarely produces D-I talent. I believe the most was the 94 state team with 6?
