Give me another public school district that is having more success with tougher schedules. Seriously I would like to know if there is another district out there that is having as good of a year thus far.

As for best public school district in the state, my vote goes to Fort Thomas Independent.

Point taken. But A and AA teams? There are plenty of non-district options in the NKY/Cincy area that are closer to 5A and 6A.

 

To be fair, SK has played up in most of their games. Scott I think may be the one team that has played opponents in smaller classes so far.

For those of you that looked at SK's schedule for this year in the spring, you would have thought it to be pretty tough. Regardless of class, HC was a recent state champ, NCC is a defending state champ, Collins and Cooper off state title games. Conner with Mr. Football away plus a tough 6A district with an up and coming Dixie team and always tough Campbell and Ryle.

 

In the end, the KCPS teams have taken care of business and, by looking at the records, have played the best football in the state through week 5.

Huh? Holy Cross and NC are AA schools. Collins is 4A, Cooper and Conner are 5A. What do you mean by "played up"?

I am surprised no one has mentioned Jefferson County. Male, Manual, Butler, Ballard, PRP, Central, Eastern ... every one of those would be favored in a match up with Scott. If you line them up in order - Male is ranked higher than SK; Manual higher than Dixie; Butler better than Scott.

 

Fayette County also should be discussed in comparison to Kenton - Bryan Station, Henry Clay and Tates Creek. I take Kenton County's three over those three but what does everyone else think.

I wasn't talking head to head because that arguement is just that, an arguement. The winning % of these three schools combined is better than those in Fayette and Jefferson.

Like you said, you will never know who the best team, county, class, district...etc. in the state is because they simply don't play each other.
