September 14, 201313 yr If I ever go over 100 texts, I will turn it off. Texting annoys me. It is a necessary evil that I do as little as possible. If I need to text more than 5 words, I either call or just don't send the message. I don't text period, as if I don't have the time to speak to someone, then I don't have the time to text them either!
September 14, 201313 yr Between coaching 1 HS team and coordinating a youth league, it's just easier to text. Now if it's a serious issue...they'll get a call. My own kids...a call/FaceTime every day. My Kidd are grown and live out of town. One thing I have learned, don't bother leaving a voice mail if they don't answer. I send a text and they answer quickly. Leave a voice mail and I'll never hear back.

Come on fellas, PM me your cell number and I'll put you on my update list. :jump:
September 14, 201313 yr I had AT&T shut off my texting two years ago. That's so weak. I'd rather text than send PMs.
September 15, 201313 yr Some of the answers in this thread baffle me. I text my wife and kids, and occasionally a friend or someone for a football score on Friday night. I can't imagine anyone in my life that I would want to converse with enough to even remotely approach 500 texts, let alone some of the crazy numbers in this thread. I'm just speechless. Of course, I am the guy who once started a thread calling texting a scourge on American society so the fact that I traded 50 messages last month is a testament to my evolution as a 21st Centurian
September 15, 201313 yr How much time does it take out of your life to trade 1000 text messages (500 received, 500 responses) To drop what you are doing, pick up your phone, read the text and send a reply, put your phone down and get back to work, how long? If, on average, it took say a minute to do that. I know some would be less, and some more, but if you average a minute, then it would suck up 500 minutes or 8.33 hours.
September 15, 201313 yr Deuce that would be over 8 hours a day  Yep. It was during a time I was head over heels for this stupid girl... (:lol2:) Every day, from the time we woke up till the time one of us finally called it quits at night. All day long.

September 15, 201313 yr I don't like enough people to accrue multiple 1000s of texts. No surprises here. 2 "likes" is your max! :lol2:
