BG was looking for the Birds in the state finals on 05 and 06 and they were nowhere to be found. You remember 05 don't you? StX put a running clock on you. BG lost 13-7. There is a reason H won't schedule X and T. That is why. If they don't play them they make silly proclamations.

They can lose to those teams and we are all told how great GCL teams are how it is much better football than X and T. But if H plays X and T and loses then they have no leg to stand on in the we are the greatest proclamations. Losing to a GCL team, they can still make those proclamations.

Poor tackling, and poor qb play is all the players. The blown coverages may be the scheme.

It is true though. If HHS loses to one of the Cincy schools you will hear the same argument that T throws out to explain their losses, although T's argument this year can somewhat hold water seeing how they play nationally ranked teams.

Trinity, St. X, Highlands, Bowling green & even Scott co should make sure they are playing each other every year. Than we'd have no questions as to who's the best to team in the state not mention this would be great for ky H.S. football!!!

Yeah, because BG and Highlands are so similar to when they played back in 06...May I remind you that they have only played twice in the last 19 years? 1-1 buddy. Don't compare a game 7 years ago.

 

Bottom line, until H proves they can beat (or hell, even schedule) T, X, or BG they are behind the pack. Sorry.

 

I have no dog in this fight. I'm not a Highlands fan, nor alum, and have no relationship to them whatsoever.

 

I just think it's funny how BG beats St X and now all of a sudden they are considered the best team in the state in some fans eyes. Bowling Green would be a very tough game for Highlands this year, and Trinity. It is just my personal opinion that Highlands and T are both still the better teams. It's my opinion...doesn't make the statement right or wrong.

Highlands played Scott Co last year and hung 60 on them. Not in the same league as the big 3, regardless of what some might think because of the game against T in the playoffs.
