September 9, 201313 yr I was kind of surprised to hear you say Marty S. Considering one of your main arguments was that you didn't care about just making the post season, you want a legit shot at winning the Super Bowl. Yet Marty S has been well known to do great in the regular season and then flame out in the post season. So it was just interesting to hear you say that. I know I actually agree I would love to have him if the Bengals make a coaching change after this year. I hope it doesn't come down to that though, because that means the Bengals were able to overcome Marvin's game management and had a great year. If you know anything about Marty you know that he is a winner. Everywhere he's been he has won, and in the post season. Marvin has never won.

September 9, 201313 yr There is a guy on the staff who I think would do very good and probably would want it, which is Hue Jackson. I think he got a raw deal out in Oakland and is an offensive guy, but seems like he would bring a real attention to detail to the team and would have to assume his game management would be better. Hue Jackson sealed his fate by pushing for the Carson Palmer deal. Raiders are still reeling from that awful decision.

September 9, 201313 yr I agree with SSC, I think Marvin would be a very good general manager in charge of football operations. In other words, let Marvin assemble the talent and let someone else coach them with zero interference. Marvin is a bad bad bad game manager.
