First Album/CD You Ever Purchased?

Featured Replies

In the rap thread someone mentioned the first purchase they made.

Let's hear it.

Mine was "Caribou" by Elton John. Had "Don't Let the Sun..." Bought it in 1974 at Rink's in Florence. Had another song about some girl being "back."

Not sure if I had to answer album, but I know my first CD was Queen's Greatest Hits, followed by AC/DC Live.

Year?

PE: Nations of Millions and Erik B and Rakim's Follow the Leader. Both the summer prior to my freshman year.

Steppenwolf Gold.

Totally Krossed Out: Kris Kross

I'm fairly certain it was "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton back in early 1974. I know the first 45 I ever bought was Sugarloaf's "Green Eyed Lady" in 1970...

AC/DC Back in Black on cassette. Fall of 1980 just as I entered 8th grade.

First CD I bought was Chicago VII. I'd rather not say what my first album was, even if I was only around 9 when I bought it. :D
