This game seems like it should be more competitive than last year. I still think the Colonels will win easily.

It was a running clock game last year for CCH.

 

I know that Dixie has Moore at the helm and he is dynamic. But I'm curious why some think this is a toss up or even favoring Dixie. I'll just say that I will be shocked if Dixie wins and further I'll say that Adam Wagner beats Moore in rushing and passing stats. My prediction anyway.

Dixie by three and here's why:

 

First off two years ago the Dixie Frosh won a thriller at CCH and they know who and what is coming their way. Second, Dixie has improved the athleticism at nearly every position. From Moore to the O line who now average over 250 and aren't afraid of the big boys, to the size and speed on the defensive front. I believe it's going to be a slug fest between the 40's. Moore keeps them guessing, a combo of Caple, Owens, and Rodenhausen keep the run a threat, and Johnson, Bohn, and Fisk defensively will not allow a beat down of previous years.

Like I said...Dixie by 3!

I don't see Dixie making up that much ground in one off season. I will go with CCH by 2 TD's. I would be more surprised at a Dixie win than CCH winning by 4 TD's.

No idea. First time starting under center for varsity but he's got a couple years to go though.

You obviously see CCH and know more CCH this year than I do but.....

 

Using the first or second game of the season last year as a barometer could be unwise.

 

A few factors:

 

Dixie got a heckuva lot better LAST YEAR than they were in week 1 or 2.

 

Dixie played a lot of youngsters last year that now have a year under their belt.

 

Dixie will have the best qb in the game and , possibly, the most dynamic player in NKY.

 

CCH gave Boone some chances to hit the deep ball but Boone couldn't do it. Dixie can.

 

 

CCH lost a stud good qb. Wags has a chance to be a strong qb but he's not there yet.

 

Beating Boone really didn't tell us much about this team. They could be really good but Boone doesn't tell us that.

 

I think it's way too early to say CCH is X TDs better. They might be but I'd caution you to not use last year's game as a barometer.

 

IMO this game will tell us a lot about the Blue Colonels. I hate to miss it but I will.
