As a defensive player, I would take PVS over Simpson in a heartbeat. An absolute stud DB/ Safety for CCH.

 

CCH should win the battle of the Colonels. Litzler kicks his 1st field goal with Blueboys winning by 17

 

Pick a D2 kid over a SEC LB makes a lot of since Simpson will be playing on Sundays in a couple years!

Covcath by 10! Dixie doesn't have the depth the blue colonels have. I would not be surprised if they are tied or Dixie has the lead at half. Depth will be the difference. It's a shame a 6A school in NKY can't field a varsity team with over 60 kids and are two deep on offense and defense. The 6A schools that due have more consistent success....imagine that!

 

Dixie should have a better showing than years past.

IMO its going to be a close game to the very end, I'm going with the upset, Dixie 24-CCH-21. I just think the Moore kid is to dynamic for CCH to bottle up. The kid makes plays with his feet as well as his arm.

How is Simpson going to be playing on Sundays, when he doesnt even start at UK. I know him and he is a great player, but still as of right now its not happening.

Until Dixie can prove they can come out and play strong at the beginning of a season (and they have not in awhile) I would side with CovCath. Maybe things have changed but it is going to be hot and Dixie got pooped playing a 2A team with guys going both ways last year.

You obviously see CCH and know more CCH this year than I do but.....

 

Using the first or second game of the season last year as a barometer could be unwise.

 

A few factors:

 

Dixie got a heckuva lot better LAST YEAR than they were in week 1 or 2.

 

Dixie played a lot of youngsters last year that now have a year under their belt.

 

Dixie will have the best qb in the game and , possibly, the most dynamic player in NKY.

 

CCH gave Boone some chances to hit the deep ball but Boone couldn't do it. Dixie can.

 

 

CCH lost a stud good qb. Wags has a chance to be a strong qb but he's not there yet.

 

Beating Boone really didn't tell us much about this team. They could be really good but Boone doesn't tell us that.

 

I think it's way too early to say CCH is X TDs better. They might be but I'd caution you to not use last year's game as a barometer.

 

IMO this game will tell us a lot about the Blue Colonels. I hate to miss it but I will.

 

I don't doubt what you posted, but IF Dixie were to win or play CovCath close, I think it would tell us more about where Dixie is going as a program. We already know CovCath is a perennial good team.

I too think this game is a single digit game.

Covcath v Dixie Heights

Didn't read past page 1, but from what I read I'm very surprised some think this won't be close or Covcath is a big favorite.

 

You are seriously underestimating Dixie and I think it will be shown tonight. Dixie was a VERY YOUNG and inexperienced team last year when these two met. This year, not so much.
