DMZ76
The basketball thread had Jefferson talking UC/UK....I didn't see it happening...BUT FOOTBALL?? YES, his talents will make for a fine WR or DB !!
SKNEERS
You can put him in any position and he will be able to play just as good as anyone else can he is a phenomenal athlete.

katbird
I saw him play B-BALL last night...Very quick and agile but needs to put some pounds on or he is going to get killed in the SEC..........
kentuckyblue
Yeah, the scholly is for 2007 football. I'm not up to speed on the rules, so I didn't realize they could offer him anything at this stage.

After the signing period in the winter, which just passed. Schools can start contacting Junior athletes much more seriously.
NineOh
I knew DJ was a great athlete but I didn't know he was a football prospect. I think if he's already gotten an offer from UK and is bound to get other football offers, I would start looking in the football direction for college. I think he'd play at a 1-AA school for bball at best. Come to UK, DJ.
Z5
I saw him play B-BALL last night...Very quick and agile but needs to put some pounds on or he is going to get killed in the SEC.......... Killed?? Just like Craig Yeast or Dougie Allen or D Abney?? Size for an athlete (WR) is way overrated....you just have to be quick enough and smart enough so they don't get a clean shot on you. BigStud
I'm sure you meant to say D2 since there are no 1-AA schools in b-ball, right? :thumb: But if I had to make a guess I wouldn't be surprised to see DJ go to a school that will let him play both. Also, Rivals has Jefferson listed as 6"1 195...What are his real measurements?
