Funny story...my aunt got married at our house, and we had a party line. Well, they didn't want any phone call (ours or someone else's) to interrupt the ceremony...but, they couldn't take the phone off the hook either (because it meant no one else on the line could use it either). So, they wrapped it up in a blanket, stashed it between two pillows, and then stuck it on the floor in the closet! Oh for the day of modular jacks.

....when you could prank call people without them knowing what number you were calling. RomanEmpire pulled off one of the best pranks ever on a guy who was hot for his the girlfriend. A few of us listened in and it was hysterical.

I can tell you my son is in 3rd grade and recess is still a daily kickball game. Glad some things don't change.

That game will never die.

* Coming inside or at least being on someone's porch when the streetlights came on.

* Making sure to see a show you wanted to see on TV or else waiting 6 months for the re-run.

*Trying to tune in out of town baseball games on a radio at night and you knew what AM station the Indians, Cardinals, Braves, Piarates were on.

When cruising McDonald's for hours was the thing to do.

When Space Invaders was the hottest video game on the planet.

When eating meals with the family was the norm.

When tv was in black and white.

When you put baseball cards in the spokes of your bicycle.

When bell bottoms (plaid was my choice) were cool.

When officers stopped you and made you pour out your beer and followed you home.
