August 7, 201313 yr I have had a couple ideas that I saw someone took the initiative a couple of years after the fact. As a matter of fact, I had a friend in Louisville, just moved to Corydon, IN, and he is one of the most ingenious folks I've ever known. He has a couple of patents on things that he gets significant royalties from. He's made a living from it. One of my favorites was a toilet he built with a fan inside under the rim of the bowl. Exhaust went out the back and it worked great. He put some funky smelling cheese (in lieu of the real McCoy, thank God) and turned it on and you literally couldn't smell a thing. Never made it big with that one, but has 2 plumbed in his home.
August 7, 201313 yr I have 2 great ideas but only went as far as the idea stage so of anyone steals them at least give me a cut. 1st idea is for the military. Night vision windshields so vehicles can move at night without being seen. 2nd idea. Wireless leash for dogs. Works like invisible fence but it is wireless, device clips on your belt and will have adjustable radius of 4 ft, 6 ft and 8 ft radius. If the dog goes beyond the radius selected he gets a "slight correction".
August 8, 201313 yr Microwave clothing: Walk down the street and bake a potato in your pants. Take live tuna and feed mayonnaise to the tuna. Call Starkist. Idea to eliminate garbage? Edible paper. You eat it ...it's gone.
August 8, 201313 yr I worked for Donruss Division of General Mills out of college. They manufactured Super Bubble bubble gum and a card series. I suggested to the marketing department that they manufacture a series featuring KISS in the late 70's. They worked with KISS's agent, did, and made a lot of money of which I got none.
August 8, 201313 yr Seriously, though, my great-grandfather was a tinkerer. He invented - and sold - a patent for one of the first lock-nuts ever manufactured. My dad is also a retired industrial engineer. He was involved in numerous patents as part of his work with the American Can company and with Proctor & Gamble. Dad actually has a framed copy of my great-grandpa's patent hanging in his house.
August 8, 201313 yr Zubaz footballs. Remember about 20 years ago the big craze with the NFL with everyone wearing Jammie like bottoms with the zig zag-Zebra designs? I had the idea to put the design onto footballs. Sold great for a couple of years.

August 8, 201313 yr Not really an invention but an upgrade for Redbox. Have a digital library of 1000's of movies rather than 50 or so hard copies to choose from and use rewritable dvd's. If you want to rent a random movie that was made 15 years ago, the Redbox machine burns the movie on the rewritable dvd and then erases it back to a blank DVD when returned. I also had a heck of a business idea that involves bead necklaces and the beach but I think it may be a form of prostitution. Still working on that one...:lol2:

August 8, 201313 yr I'm still working on one that will shut-up my wife and kids on demand. BOOM! Invented!
August 8, 201313 yr I want someone to invent a post that Clyde will actually "like". I think cold fusion might be commonplace before that happens.:lol2:
