What did Gamble say about Highlands in the past?

 

 

My guess is something regarding the Mitchell incident.

Mr. Gamble was never associated with the Ryle Sports Festival.

For those worried about the price of tickets, if you check out the link at CrossTown - ShowDown you will notice that games at some of the locations, i.e. Lawrenceburg, IN, Cincinnati St. Xavier and both friday night and saturday afternoon at Centerville, OH appear to be the usual high school prices for those locations. I go to a lot of Colerain games and the price is usually $7 for adults at the gate, while the GCL-S charges $8 at the gate. The tickets for double headers and UC facilities (Nippert and Sheakley) are higher, but the rents for the UC facilities are higher. Yes, Tom Gamble and his company will most likely turn a profit, depending on weather, etc, but we do live in a free enterprise system and the person/company that takes the risk needs to make a profit.

 

I am also wondering: With the improvements to DCMS, is Highlands going to up the price of a ticket for all games to cover the costs?

 

That being said, $8 - $10 is not bad for a ticket to see Highlands and University Christian play on national TV.

 

I highly doubt that HHS will raise ticket pricing for their improvements. Wouldn't put that much of a dent into those costs IMO.

 

I for one hate to see Gamble involved with this game. Just don't like the "angry guy". Wonder what TFVH would have to say on the whole situation?

Because......Gamble called Dale Mueller of Highlands High School and basically anybody who was associated with Highlands the worst cheaters of any kind on the 2 angry guys a few years back. Wouldn't you take offense to that?

I will just have to think and convince myself that Merril Hoge had more pull and leverage getting this TV deal done more than Tom Gamble did. I just think they had to use Gamble's company to seal the deal. Those are my Bluebird blinders on and proud of it.....Hate on with yourself ye ole "Great One"

THIS. As well as a bump in the price of the ticket.......it's a joke. I've got no problem paying extra if I'm watch a game at Nippert, but to watch the Breds play someone at Dixie and pay $10 is absolutely absurd.

All I know is that this will be the first game that my wife has attended since her Sr. year at Highlands. I can't believe that we are doing this, but we're going to Mio's for a pre-game date and then going to the game (This isn't exactly what we do). Now that the boys are going to be waterboys, she's going to be coming with me. It will make the blowout games more bareable and I won't be spending $20 in concessions.
