Keep in mind we were hyping up last year's team just as much and we had our tails between our legs through halftime of week 1.

 

Ok Debbie Downer, you may have had your tail b/w your legs, but the coaches did not. Oh, and BTW how'd that game turn out? Also, Boyle Co. is a quality opponent and no one close to the program expected them to roll over.

The sad thing is this particular Highlands hater simply is not a very good representative of the NewCath family imo. The majority of the folks I know at NewCath are very educated when it comes to sports and have way too much class to go out of their way to bash its Christian neighbors in Ft Thomas...Just sayin

Great news, I didn't think Dale would agree to the higher ticket prices even though this has got to be the "must see" opener in NKY and he probably could have set the prices higher and still had a great crowd. Kudos to Dale and Highlands for doing the right thing again...:thumb:

I've got mad respect for what highlands has been able to do. I just think you HHS fans need to come down out of your ivory towers.

In the words of Dale, "Awesome!" He's so much more than just being one of the best HS football coaches in KY history. My daughter, who went to one football game in her 13 years in the Ft. Thomas school system, loved him from her being in his AP physics class and told her younger brother he would love it when he was old enough to be on the team. She was right.

It just seems like each year we have one or two people that spend their entire time on BGP trying to upset all the Birds faithful instead of even posting on their favorite teams threads. I don't think we are in Ivory towers. I live in a yellow brick craftsman that's about 80-85 years old. We are proud of our history, town, and our children. Plain and simple. Just make sure you do your homework before posting any "facts" because friend we always check our sources and there are checkers of the checkers. I wish you and whomever your team is the best of luck this year, especially if you have to play the Birds!
