Carson Palmer talking a little smack... (privately to teammate)

Featured Replies

No one’s giving the Cardinals much of a chance in the NFC West, but defensive end Calais Campbell is convinced they can win the division.

“I was talking to Carson the other day and he said he’s never really played with a good defense before,” Campbell said. “I told him it’s been a while since I played with a good quarterback.”

He does have Larry Fitzgerald...

He does have Larry Fitzgerald...

Surely the great Carson Palmer wouldn't be trying to blame his lack of playoff pedigree on the defenses he's played with.... No wonder the fine folks of Cincy threw trash on his lawn ( if that really happened, lol).

I'm glad Fitzgerald has a serviceable Qb but CP is still a middle of the road QB at this point. If they finish higher than third in the divison it will be a shock to me.

If you have followed along, it's never Carson's fault... Ask him, or his apologists, they got a million things to blame his lack of success, other than the simple fact that he just sucks.

As a founding member of the Carson Palmer Sucks bandwagon I agree. Average NFL QB in an era when average QB play can't get it done.

Title is very very misleading. A private talk to a teammate is now talking smack????

Sure is. It will only be a story in Cincy because of how it came out, but it still smack talk. He teammate needs to learn how to keep some things in house.

In saying all that, none of it matters.

Defense doesn't have anything to do with the QB throwing the ball, and it never has.

Our definitions of smack are certainly different. To me smack is more of an open mike kind of comment.

I see this more as a compliment to a defensive player he was having a private conversation with. Would even be seen as good leadership. People will see what they want I guess. But then again, I'm a glass half full kind of guy.

Ha! The apologists can even turn his words around. From a direct quote at that. Dang you guys are good!

The haters gonna hate no matter what he says or how he says it. Sad. They need to get a life and move on. I'm sure he doesn't lose a minute thinking about Cincinnati, why should we care about him?

I hear what you are saying but it obviously isn't private if the teammate is sharing it.

If I have a conversation with you, it's private. The fact that you later share it doesn't change that.

And I would give you the same courtesy and respect.

It certainly is not my intention to mislead with the title. The fact of the matter is Palmer said and it is in the national news.
