July 9, 201313 yr I think there is a public safety hazard inherently there within residential areas that just doesn't apply to other things. However, if we are talking about interstates..."let 'er rip". But, if we want to discuss dumb traffic laws. There is no dumber law than getting stopped and ticketed only for not wearing a seatbelt. The stupidity and obviousness of a blatant money grab is further exemplified by the legions of motorcyclist riding around without a helmet.
July 10, 201313 yr I thought you were Mr Anti-Govt power to the people, I thought for sure you would support this. Don't you think speeding tickets are just another way to get money from the public? 1. Public property belongs to me as a tax payer. I can't do what I want with/in my own car, as long as I don't hurt anyone else? 2. Reckless driving is already against the law, If someone is driving in a reckless manner hold them accountable. DUI is illegal but it could be argued that it should only be illegal if you wreck or cause harm to others...otherwise your just potentially hurting yourself. No its an unintelligent idea to deflect from a serious topic. If you find this analogy to be accurate there is no reason for me to respond to your posts on the other topic. Which I may add you never gave an answer on how you would fix the problem just ridiculed others . Its amusing that you find this thread to even be comparable to what was said in the other. Yep no difference between public/private property. Amusing.

July 19, 201313 yr Speed limits are just a way the government takes more money from us all. They don't even care about the money...they just want to "keep us down". :lol2:

July 19, 201313 yr This is a terrific idea! I've been wondering how fast I could get my corolla going. Slowing down is school zones? Dumb. Getting through schools zones as fast as possible? Brilliant!
July 22, 201313 yr To the extent you are serious Jumper (and I'm hoping you aren't serious), I totally disagree with your thinking on this issue.
July 22, 201313 yr Author There is no "right" to drive. No right to take Heroine or Meth but many think that should be legal too. I say if all drugs are legalized might as well eliminate speed limits too...I love to drive fast, why should our government overlords have the power to slow me down?
