I think ranking 4A is pointless though. Highlands will remain number 1 until someone proves otherwise. After number 1, it doesn't matter much IMO.

Owensboro lost 6 SR's last year. I think it comes down to them or Collins out of the west.

Madisonville should be a top team in the west, They split with Owensboro last year and return as much or More talent than the Devils, Collins is the team to beat and either team will give them a challenge in the semis

On paper, I'd have to say the trip to Bowling Green for the first weekend in December will be a re-match of last years game. Let's hope the game is a little more competitive this year.

I would think that if Collins and Highlands met in the finals again this year, it will be a much better game than last year. Not saying Collins could beat them, but I think they could make it competitive. They should definitely be the favorites in the west.

Owensboro barely lost @ Madisonville last year 13-9. Then in the playoffs Owensboro handled Madisonville 31-7 @ Owensboro. I don't now what Madisonville returns or lost but just based off what Owensboro returns I'll be surprised if the Maroons keep it within 2 TD's @ Rash Stadium this year....

Turnovers in the game are what hurt the Maroons, there was no lopsided victory for the devils, it will be a very good hard fought game with the winner claiming the district championship and home field advantage in the playoffs

Collins will also be better than they were last year. This years senior class is definitely the most talented in the schools short history. I doubt they could beat Highlands, but I do think they could give them a better game than last year.

May split the conversation into East and West and who will be in semis and in BG from the West.

 

In the East the Ranking probably looks like this:

 

1. Highlands

2a. CovCath

2b. LexCath

2c. Boyle County

 

Odd are this will be the bracket in the quarterfinals on the East side.

 

The West - in isolation - is probably a more interesting discussion.

That's what I am hearing. The Bluebird crowd is being awful quiet considering this team is so talented.
