June 28, 201313 yr Just seen on the ticker on ESPN that Dwight Howard will not resign with the Lakers stating that his main problem with the team was coach Mike D'Antoni
June 28, 201313 yr Looks like the Lakers just made themselves look like a bunch of idiots with those billboards all over LA
June 28, 201313 yr Author His main problem is what he sees in the mirror. Yep. He's a big baby who throws fits if he doesn't like someone or doesn't get what he wants. Same thing happened in Orlando and it will happen every where he goes
June 28, 201313 yr Just seen on the ticker on ESPN that Dwight Howard will not resign with the Lakers stating that his main problem with the team was coach Mike D'Antoni Pattern?
June 28, 201313 yr Author Pattern? It will happen everywhere he goes. There was rumors going around that him and Kobe was having words/problems
June 28, 201313 yr Looks like the Lakers just made themselves look like a bunch of idiots with those billboards all over LA Unless something has changed he'll meet with the Lakers last out of all the teams he'll visit. The Lakers can pay him 30,000,000 more than anyone else. Until he says he isn't meeting with the Lakers everything is going as expected. He told Kobe and the Lakers he'd let them have the last word. Meanwhile, they have to at least act like they want him back. That being said, I hope his sorry butt doesn't come back to LA.
June 28, 201313 yr I think he ends up in Houston If he does then he'll be digging his hole even deeper. They run the same kind of system as D'antoni. If he goes to Houston then Mike D'antoni's system had nothing to do with him leaving. Just own it Dwight!!!!!!
June 28, 201313 yr They said he would keep 13%+/- more money if he went to Texas or Florida or any other state without state income tax over staying with the Lakers. I'm not a huge fan of Lakers (but don't hate Lakers like I do Knicks and Nets) or any team for that matter just have several players that I like to follow. That said I hope he leaves LA, as LA will be better in the long run without him.
June 28, 201313 yr Houston, although they're said to be the favorite, is a bad fit. They just signed Lin and Harden so the offense will not flow through Howard. Plus they have Parsons as well. As PP92 said, the offensive scheme is similar to what LA used this season. I believe Houston is more efficient and probably a little more up-tempo but still not the ideal fit. Actually there is no ideal fit for Howard. But I'd bet he'd rather play with Dirk over Harden. Plus I'd venture to say that Cuban would market Howard a lot better in Dallas, and that's what Howard wants as well.
June 28, 201313 yr His main problem is what he sees in the mirror. He's 2 for 2 on not getting along with the coach isn't he? I'll give a player one coach, I'm not giving them 2. Easy scapegoat.
