I'm just going to put it this way.....

 

Miami down 10 entering the fourth and looking like they were going to lose another Finals. They weren't getting production from anybody other than Mario Chalmers, not Wade, not Bosh, not Allen, not even James. All hope looked to be lost and it seemed to be a formality at that point. The Spurs have proven during this series that once they're up that big, they are usually coasting to a win.

 

So Miami (primarily Lebron) battles back from 10 down to take the lead and then late in the fourth runs into a wall and loses the lead to a pair of huge Tony Parker buckets. Once again, it looked like a grim outcome for Miami. To the point they were down 5 with 20 seconds left. Instead of laying down and losing the game and accepting fate like what usually happens in those situations, they continued to fight. They fought for every rebound, every point to get it to overtime. In OT they fought some more and finally edged SA out.

 

Considering their backs were against the wall and all hope seemed lost, how did they not deserve to win after battling that kind of adversity? I mean really? That was one of the hardest fought wins I have ever saw, how is that not deserving?

I'm about to feel the same way. I always liked Wade, I mean he wasn't ever one of my favorites but I never hated him or anything. But man oh man the more I watch him anymore the less I like him. I was praying Spo wouldn't put him back in last night, and sure enough as soon as he does there goes the lead and there goes any kind of flow the offense had. I think this team is better with either Allen or Miller at the 2 instead of Wade. Not saying they are better players, but in scope of the offense they play a lot better when Lebron has room to work (and doesn't have to feel like he needs to get Wade his too).

People say things like that only in games when LeBron is a participant. A lot of folks lose the ability to think rationally when LBJ is involved.

One other thing... Games like that are the reason the NBA is soooooo far superior to NCAA games. They can't even come close to what we all saw last night.

James is tough to officiate. Sort of in the same way Shaq was tough to officiate. LeBron does cry a lot more though

 

He is so big he does get hammered often times and it goes uncalled; but, on the flip side he can get away with more than the average person because of his size.

They both deserved to win. It was one of the best basketball games I have ever watched. Although both made mistakes, and the Spurs mistakes ended up costing them the most, it doesn't mean that one or the other deserved it or didn't deserve it. IMO they both deserved to win.

 

I can agree with that. The Heat fought back hard to get in position to win. The Spurs did the same. When the Heat were up 3 with a minute to play, I thought it was over. They had the momentum and the Spurs were struggling to score. Then I thought the same thing with the Spurs when they were up 5 with about 30 seconds to go. It was a heck of a game. I wouldn't call it great basketball but it was a great game.

Pretty much agree. Shaq cried a lot too, especially in college, but LeBron does pour it on. Tim Duncan's bad about whining too.

I honestly think these guys could throw haymakers and put up their arms as to why they got called for a foul.

Not sure how people think the Bosh block was a foul. In no way was it.

 

Bosh blocked the ball and Green fell more because of the block than Bosh bumping him. Also the "bump" affected nothin with the shot.

 

Colin Cowherd said the ones that say Bosh fouled Green are also the ones that say MJ didn't push off Russell.

I think what turns a lot of people off is that a lot of times the players are so good they make it look easy. People don't respect the fact they are watching the best basketball players on planet earth, so they say its boring and they don't play D, or other foolish things. It is a different game than college, but it is because they are playing with the best basketball players out there. I never really understood how someone who claims to be a basketball fan cannot like the NBA. People like to argue they are purists or what not, but whats more pure than getting to watch some of these players and watch some of these games.

 

 

What really sets the two apart is getting to see it live. I have been lucky enough to see Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Allen, Durant, Westbrook, Paul George, Hibbert, David West, and Grainger in person and you cannot comprehend how good these guys really are until you see them for yourself. I mean its unreal how good these guys actually are, TV doesn't do them justice.

That is what I have been saying since right after the game last night. Many more mistakes by Popovich than just sitting Duncan.

All of the post concerning the obvious blown calls, that were easily seen by all who watched this game , just shows how bad the refs are in the league.
