June 19, 201313 yr Author Such a fine line between good and bad for Lebron in this game. 2 huge turnovers and a badly missed 3 in the last 2 minutes. Heat get the rebound and kick it to Lebron for a 3 to keep them alive. Ray Allen 3 after Lebron missed 3. Any of that goes differently even a little bit and he is getting KILLED right now. Plus Kawhi could have simply hit a free throw to ice the game.

June 19, 201313 yr Duncan was unstoppable in the first half and seemed to run out of gas in the second half. I was predicting possibly a 50 point game from Duncan after his 25 point 1st half.... wasn't anywhere close....

Pop made some of the worst personnel decisions I have ever seen from him. He has to look in the mirror and know he coached a bad last 6 minutes of the close out game, IMO.

This is a hard game to come back from, if you are the Spurs. Duncan played 44 minutes and was clearly gassed in the second half plus got his knee rolled by Bosh late in the 4th. Parker played 41 on a bad hamstring. Can these guys recover to play well on Thursday, physically?
June 19, 201313 yr I put that loss on Popovich. He has Duncan on the bench on two big plays at the end of regulation. The second to last play with turnover machine Ginobli bringing the ball up court he doesn't call a timeout, leaving Parker to sit there and watch. The last play, needing a 3, he has a horrible set of personnel on the floor. Just one bad coaching move after another. Missed free throws by Ginobli and Leonard in regulation that would have likely sealed a win. The big play in regulation that people will not talk about was San Antonio has the ball out of bounds with 20 seconds left and end up spending their last time out instead of getting the ball in bounds. If they get the ball in there, they likely burn another 10 seconds off the clock. Then with 5 seconds to go in a tie game they had no timeouts left to set up a half court play. Instead they have to bring it the length of the court and don't get a good look.
