I hope so, the only reason Braun wasn't suspended before is because Selig didn't want baseball to have egg on its face for giving the MVP to a doper...

I think this is spot on.

So was over half of the league for over 10 years, so what.

We had slavery for quite a while, too. Doesn't mean it was a good thing. :thumb:

Players went on strike in 94-95 season. Attendance was at an all time low after that year and baseball turned a blind eye to all the PHD's being used to watch the McGwire and Sosa home run chase in 98 and now that attendance is back up they want to drop the hammer on all these guys. IMO it's an absolute joke on Selig and MLB's part. I'm not defending the players but when all this was going on the salaries sky rocketed and now the players bodies are breaking down from that garbage they put in their bodies. I don't blame the players I blame Selig and MLB

After some of the stuff I've read, I have a feeling the players union is going to win this battle and no suspensions will be handed down. There is no proof of anything besides this guys word and papers. I hope they can find some more proof somewhere because I do believe these guys were on something.

Did they go back and punish those that owned slaves?

I get what you're saying but Selig is acting like he now cares when he clearly didn't. He cares because baseball fans care.

If MLB does hand down suspensions to 20+ players, you know they will all appeal and by the time we get through everyone's appeals it will be time for them all to retire.

Dead On!!!

I thought MLB suspended Braun for 50 games, he appealed, and it was overturned by an arbitrator?

It was because the chain of custody was messed up due to a delay in shipping the urine sample.

I don't think any of that aplies to this situation. The Biogenesis cheaters got their stuff from Bosch / Biogenesis after drug testing was implemented in baseball. They knew baseball was working hard to eliminate cheaters and still went to Bosch's business to get their drugs. There is no duplicity by baseball in this case. Seriously, if anyone should be banned from baseball for life, it is any player involved in getting drugs from Biogenesis. To me, this damages the integrity of baseball 10 times more than Pete Rose betting on games. I know there is a player's contract that prevents these guys from being banned for life, but they deserve that level of punishment if they got banned substances from Biogenesis.

Brewers have told Braun that if it is true, then just fess up but he still holds to his innocence. I don't know what to think with him.

As for A-Rod. Hope he goes down and goes down hard.

I agree with some of what you said but I still think it all goes hand to hand. Many of the players were using HGH and PED before the testing when Bonds head swelled to the size of Rosie Red. Some players are always going to look for an advantage, whether they doctor the ball up, cork their bat or whatever. I just think if MLB would of squashed the PED's when it all started instead of turning away to get the fan base back, MLB would be better off. Now MLB wants to crack down and the technology on this stuff is better. The players are looking for the big payday and willing to get it at all cost. To me they both have killed the integrity of baseball and sent the wrong message to our youth. JMO

It was but no sense in letting the truth get in the way of a good conspiracy theory.
I hope they are all permanently banned...Need to implement a ZERO tolerance.

For just PED's or all "cheating"?

It's Roger Clemens all over again. They may get suspended by MLB but nothing will come of it. It's their word vs a guy trying to avoid more prison time. Not exactly rock solid.

What should come of it other than suspensions?
