He is a patent lawyer. They have a nice place in Costa Rica as well. I have a family connection, name escapes me but I'll find it.

I know one of the interior designers who worked on the project. She, too, is sworn to secrecy, but she gave me a few snippets of info. It does not belong to Joey Votto. The wife went to Dixie High School, which explains the odd choice of location. The owners plan on housing international clients there.

Oh...and I agree with Clyde above. There is nothing practical about that house. It is a showpiece, not something I would ever consider home sweet home.

The Votto rumors are just rumors. The property purchase took place by the attorney in question before Votto's $251.5 million, 12-year deal with the Reds was signed in April, 2012. The contract was signed with Tim Burks Builder, Inc. to build the house before Votto's deal was struck as well. Joey lives in a comfortable, but not too ostentatious house in Indian Hill - my fiance's brother was over there last week cleaning and opening his pool for the summer.
