Yeah, I've seen you post a couple things here and there, but your main focus is Holmes, which is fine, but it becomes hard to follow a HS sports analyst when we only hear about certain kids, from certain teams (primarily, Holmes, Travelers, and your workout guru)... And, according to others, now Beechwood. I see you post a ton on the Travelers (who Bolden plays for), but you gave no, or very little, love to Shining Stars when they beat the Travelers (16) at state. Moeves and Schulte were lights out at State. Did you even go watch state? The best tournament locally last weekend, with most of the best from Ky.

 

You've also mentioned Rabe, of Dixie (who you've said has worked out with you), who you said he would be one of the best PGs in NkY next year... Did you even seen the kid play a HS game last year? He takes ill-advised shots, turns the ball over, and has even tried to put that team on his back, even when not needed, as obviously they have Hatton. Now, can he improve? Surely! As I'm sure he works hard over the summer. Also, does a lot of things well, like passing the ball, makes some solid cuts, etc. But, IMO he isn't even the best PG on his own team, much less in NKy.

 

You see, it's easy to make assumptions after only seeing a kid one time, but hard to make analyzations after only one time. I guess you could, but you may have seen the best game/workout the kid has ever had... Or the worst.

Why is it everybody seems to only talk about NKY players and teams. There is a lot of talent outside of NKY!! Central KY has a lot of talent and nobody talks about it. Some under the radar players that I think will Breakout next season are:

Will Hager: Mercer Co

Drew Davis: Mercer Co

Jeremiah Tisdale: Henry Clay

Slade Crutchfield: Garrard Co

Zach Baxter: South Laurel

I've heard good things about both Tisdale and Hagen. Plan on getting out to see them this year.

Saw Tisdale last yr in Woodford Co tourney and he is explosive with great length. Played a little in the shadows of Green and Grundy but had bigtime Hops, lightning quick and defended very well.

"Analyzations" is absolutely a word (albeit, archaic in nature). Perhaps analysis would have been better articulation.

 

And, for the record I have appreciated Walters work, several times, and have even PM'd him to tell him so. But, just as I thank him for the solid work he does do, I've just come to want more. Again, a mistake on my part, as I need to get out and do more of my own "analysis".

Do agree it would be nice to hear more about all players in Ky.

I watch a lot of 6th region. Southern, Moore, Butler, and Bullitt East all have good incoming freshman classes.

I'd watch for 6'10" center Raekwon Long who I'm told is relocating to central Kentucky for next season. Future150 rates him as a 4-star recruit in the class of 2016.
