I think Mitch Bolin will make a name for himself this year for sure.

 

He and Drew Moore will both step in and replace the 2 seniors Dixie lost and will probably do so at a more productive clip. Drew will be a more athletic, more skilled version of Cameron Ruher. And Mitch Bolin could be a mOre skilled center than Alex Milligan.

 

All in all, I see Dixie being better this year than they were last season. Especially if they have this mysterious stud PG hiding somewhere on the roster as Big Fundamental keeps alluding to.

You seem to be the Dixie guy Ennam, you know EXACTLY who I'm talking about. He's a little bigger, a little stronger, plays real solid defense, has a high IQ, and rarely turns the ball over. Also, according to twitter sources (maybe not so reliable), seems to be scoring and passing nicely this summer. Just wasn't given the opportunity last year.

Who are we talking about here? Is it a member of that junior-to-be class? I believe Austin Schreck could run the point along with Liam at times. But, Schreck is a nice player off the ball as well, as long as he doesn't get stuck in the corner. His scoring game has really come around this summer... Should be a nice compliment to Hatton, along with Rabe, Daria, Hedger, Niehaus, Bolin and the rest of the gang. Coach Chevalier will have a lot to work with.

 

Dixie could/should be very good this winter. Looking forward to it.

Walter, when did you see Mitch Bolin play? You are right that he has become much more aggressive. He has also been working very hard on his drop-step game, mid-range game, the baby hook shot, and putting the ball on the floor from shorter distances. He is coming along nicely and will only get better with continued work with Dixie and their coaching staff.

To be fair, I have heard the Louisville area too. It's hard to say right now until he actually enrolls.

"Analyzations" is absolutely a word (albeit, archaic in nature). Perhaps analysis would have been better articulation.

 

And, for the record I have appreciated Walters work, several times, and have even PM'd him to tell him so. But, just as I thank him for the solid work he does do, I've just come to want more. Again, a mistake on my part, as I need to get out and do more of my own "analysis".

I don't want to come across as the grammar police around here, and certainly don't want to thread jack this subject with something as trivial as a word that's out-of-date. But, since you brought it up, show me a sentence where "analysis" doesn't work better than "analyzations". The above from the sometime around 1900, was so poorly constructed, I couldn't focus on just the choice of this word. Further, the example you gave is so full of other grammatical errors, it loses credibility.

I'll be the first to admit that my AAU knowledge isn't up to par with most on the board (especially outside of Kentucky and teams on the national scene yearly that you can read about on ESPN), and I'm too knee deep in Texas Civil Procedure and ITINs to go scouring the web for a credible article on the program's roots.

 

Not accusing them of anything, or have no intent to bash, just wondering where they are based out of (city/region... and yes I'm guessing North or South Carolina), who sponsors them, who coaches them, how long they've been on the AAU scene, etc.

 

For example, something like: "MeanStreets is a Chicago based AAU program that was founded by former native prep standout Tai Streets. Streets played both basketball and football in college at the University of Michigan, and went on to play WR in the NFL. Their program is outfitted in Nike gear, and their alumni includes Anthony Davis and Derrick Rose."

 

Again, I only ask because this is the second of their kids that I've heard mentioned this year, but haven't really had much exposure to them otherwise and was just curious.

The coach is Kevin, father of Ty Graves who is on the team. They finished second at AAU nationals last year. They have lost their two best players from last year to shoe company programs, but they are still loaded.

He had plenty of opportunities, and made the most of them. Just not a lot of opportunity at the point spot. That's all I'm saying....

Schreck is long, lanky, and has great body control. He is a great set up man. When he wants to play, you can see he is always one of the better players on the floor. Watching him play in high school and seeing him once in aau, he looked like a completely different player. He could be special if he plays like that all the time.

Anyone know if Adam Daria plays any basketball in July? I know he plays baseball for Dixie, but what about any basketball work over the summer?
