Was noted by Jim Schue a couple of years ago, but worthy of a re-mention.

Daniel Martin Moore

Cold Springs, Ky native and Campbell County H.S. grad.

One of a kind remarkable calming soothing singer/songwriter.

Produced by My Morning Jacket's Jim James.

Former schoolmate of mine lives in Nashville. Shawn Hammonds former RB and track at Newport High School in the late 80's.

Thanks for posting the link.

He sounds good.

4-Halfway To Hazard-Not sure they are still preforming. They had a CD out a few years back or so that I really liked.

I believe they are back on the road performing.

They're back on the road. In Florence in September. I really like their "Daisy" song and their sound.

Sounds like some personal issues with one of them took them away for a while.

Puddin' Howell from Lexington

I believe Puddin' is originally from Greenup County.

Also, Christian Rock group Audio Adrenaline is from Ky. The brother of original lead singer, Mark Stuart, was my 6th grade math teacher.

Are the guys from The Brotherhood all from KY? I know at least one member is. Went to school with a past member.

Lethal-Northern KY.....featuring the late Eric Cook (Conner HS)

Pat O'Brien (Conner HS)- guitarist for Cannibal Corpse

Way back in the day I worked with a guy from Lethal....around 1989 or so...

Days of the New

Tantric

When I got the Days of the New cd I thought it was awesome.....but I kept saying "plug in!"

Did anyone mention Grandpa Jones or Dwight Yoakam?

David "Stringbean" Akeman from Jackson Co.

Sturgill Simpson from Breathitt County has been on Late Night With David Letterman twice and played once on Conan. He's got several albums on his resume.

When he was on "Late Night" Letterman came out to talk to him after he performed and he noticed his drummer had "Commonwealth of Kentucky" written on his drum. Letterman said something like, "You're a good ol' Kentucky boy, where they drive around playing your music drinking a 32 oz Mountain Dew and looking for someone to fight." Lol.

There's video on YouTube of his performances when he was on those shows.

He sounds a lot like Waylon Jennings IMO.

I am ashamed that I know this, but two member of the Backstreet Boys were from Lexington, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrel.

Also, Laura Bell Bundy, who played a young Sarah Whittle on "Jumanji", and has several songs out, is from Lexington.

He was first-rate two weeks ago at Forecastle.

I could be wrong but I believe Richardson is from Irvine and attended Estill County High School.
