And that's because I'm a radio guy, and I've been all up and down the dial and heard everything you could imagine, whether it's truck-driving songs on WLW to 1930's blues from a country station in Hart County or reggae on an Americana station in Louisville to The Gourds' cover of Snoop Dogg's "Gin and Juice" on a pop-rock station in Prestonsburg, complete with all cursewords before the dummies figured out what was going on. Hell, there's times when I could hear all that variety from the same station, depending on where I was living.

I've not passed through Nashville in a few years, but one of the things I found remarkable is that there wasn't a single decent radio station in the town they call "Music City USA." And most of what's on the radio there is decidedly corporate radio.
