Nacarius Fant - Bowling Green Purples

Featured Replies

Any chance we might see Cooper over in Bowling Green again this year, Hellbird?

Anything is possible but it will be a tough road for the Jags if it happens. Heavily depleted by Srs. but the skill postions are very solid. O-line is the biggest question. I'm sure they would love another crack at that great team that returns nearly everyone and is hands down the favorite in 5A but would love to see a game with no turnovers on the first two offensive plays. Fant is a best the receiver returning IMO this year in the State.

Just like Mr. Sixer stated, it would be a tough road for Cooper to return to the finals this year. They lost a lot from their lines and have a new QB behind center who is not as evasive and quick as Tyler Morris was but he does have a really good arm, so we will just have to wait and see. I'd love another shot at it though. But first thing is first, got to take care of business in district first which will be another dog fight with Conner and South Oldham.

Fant already has offers from UK,.

Are you sure about the UK offer? He didn't have one at the spring game.

Just checked with someone that would know and they said he has no UK offer yet but both sides still have interest.

The only offers I see on any of the recruiting sites are Illinois and WKU.

I hope he gets the UK offer. I bet he'd jump on it.

And that is pure speculation on my part. I have no clue of his choices.

Fant definitely has the best hands I have ever seen for a high school player. I haven't seen a better wide receiver in many many years. He also runs the Wildcat very well. If they give him a chance, he could play for any college team out there. He's a great punt returner, also.

For some reason I can't get that State Farm Chris Paul-Cliff Paul commercial out of my head...:lol2:

And yes,I'm also a Purple...:thumb:

That is my bad Clyde. UK, UL and several bigger schools told him they had to wait and see how his season goes and how he does at some camps. I hope It doesn't cost UK. He reminds me of Derick Abney and I think could really help them.

40 times can become much better with training. Just got back from a recruiting visit where the coach told my son and 2 others who were there visiting that he can turn a 4.9 into a 4.5 before he is done with you.

4.7 isn't bad, and I agree he did look a lot faster on the field.

Very true. Anyone can take two tenths off their forty just by practicing it.

When you look at his numbers they are pretty common for his position. Like stated earlier, the camp scene is the best way to improve the star rating.

But I firmly believe if the city and state next to his name was in GA, FL, or MS he would be a 4 star.

I'm surprised at his 40 time. He seems faster than that on the field.

What Nacarius lacks in speed he makes up for in elusiveness. He has a knack for just not being there when someone comes in for a hit.

He's not the best WR I've ever seen, but he's pretty high up there. And it's true, he's always electric to watch and never disappoints.

The kid is for real . He has tactical speed and game speed. Sprinter speed is great when you find yourself wide open and 5 yards away from the nearest opponent, but how often does that occur ? He is a catch, and I hope UK or UL get him as well as some More local talent

This kid is a special player. Plays with a lot of poise and is a smooth athlete. He reminds me of a Randle Cobb type player. Just a winner that seems to make plays when they are needed most.

Being on recruiting visits and seeing this kid in person many times, is the explanation as to the lack of Bigger offers. He's very small in stature, nowhere near 5'10.....5'7 is more accurate and the speed numbers are what they are. Combine the two and you can understand the apprehension of the bigger schools.

That being said, I've seen his big game ability in his games, and he is one that his physical attributes don't tell the true story. Great receiver with all the ability and hands, IQ, Heart, WILL, of a big time D1 player. Unfortunately, a big portion of this recruiting thing is size and speed measurables.

Kid deserves a shot somewhere and I hope someone gives him that chance. He's a winner and wok bust his butt to get even better at the next level. And will represent the university well. Unfortunately, UK is in on big time receivers and more than likely wont be offering IMO, they will land 4-5 4 star WR's in this class. Just bad timing for Necarius to be a SR. Any other year or time and he would have already been offered by UK/UL. Tough side to recruiting.

He will end up somewhere for sure and do not count out UK. He would fit into their offense when they go 4-5 wide. Same comments have been made of another receiver/db from NKY as well with regard to size. Someone will take a shot on Fant as he is way to good to pass up and he makes plays.

Id never count out anything. He a great kid and will get his chance to prove himself.

In regards to the offer from UK, I'm more referencing the situation with UK this year. UK will only be taking 4-5 receivers this year on scholly. And are in on BIG TIME 4 star WRs. Not a knock on Necarius, just bad timing. Receivers like Kief, Bone, Berrios etc..... From talent rich states like Ohio, SC, and Florida.

Necarius will be a nice addition wherever he ends up.
