May 8, 201313 yr Author He may not get that pitch if he isn't in front of Votto. He sees so few of them, hard to tell if he could differentiate anyway.
May 8, 201313 yr He sees so few of them, hard to tell if he could differentiate anyway. Pretty surprised I was able to type that with a straight face. Dude has been terrible. Needs to get out of the 2-hole unless he gets on a few more today.
May 8, 201313 yr That's the Leake we all know and love. If he gives up a solo every 4 innings I'll be happy. He's been very good today.

May 8, 201313 yr Of the 17 managers currently ahead of him in wins, Dusty has a better winning percentage than 8 of them. That shoots down the argument that he is there mainly due to longevity. As to him being bad in Chicago, he had one bad year. He also is arguably one Alex Gonzalez error away from putting them in the World Series, which that franchise hasn't been in since the 40's. 15-17 have more Pennants, 16-17 have won a World Series. Baker was fortunate to have Barry Bonds on his team during his peak. Without Bonds on his roster his record is a very pedestrian 760-732 for a winning percentage of .509 with one playoff series win in 9 seasons. He's a very average manager who relates well with his players.
May 8, 201313 yr What happened to him? He used to be pretty fast, and now he's probably slower than everyone not named Corky Miller or Ryan Hanigan. He enrolled in the Chad Johnson school of how to make myself bigger than the game.
