2013 Freshmen 9th Region Tournament

Got it. Somehow I misinterpreted that, I see it now. You are correct, but I dont think any if them will give up baseball. That said, I certainly could see a scenario in which Stringer hangs up the football cleats, I'm kind of surprised he still plays. No way Combs gives football up. I dont know the other kids.

I agree that Stringer will give up his pads at some point. I think he has to much to lose by getting beat up in football..

If the weather doesn't let up, there won't be a tournamnet.

Updates made. Thanks for the PM.

In the future to find updated brackets, rather than using the link above, which changes with every iteration, go to http://www.Highlands-Baseball.com, click on News and either click on the story OR click on Tournaments to narrow the # of entries to just those items.

Anyone know if Simon Kenton v. Conner OR Scott v. Beechwood got played yesterday?

Scott and Beechwood did not play due to rain and lightening. They are scheduled for 4:30 today at Beechwood. Winner plays Holy Cross at 7:30 and Meiken field. (Weather pending of course!)

I'm pretty sure the SK/Conner game was cancelled last night. I think they plan to play tonight at 5 at Cordero field and then the winner playing at St.Henry tonight at 7:30ish.

You are correct. Conner plays tonight at 5 at cordero and then goes to play St. Henry at St. Henry.

Here is the schedule for tonight (weather permitting and it doesn't look good for Friday)

SK vs. Conner 5pm @ Cordero Field, winner plays St. Henry 7:30pm @ St. Henry

Lloyd @ Dixie 5pm

Grant Co @ Ryle 5:30pm

Boone Co @ Cooper 5pm

Scott @ Beechwood 4:30pm, winner plays Holy Cross @ Meinken 7:30pm

Campbell Co @ Brossart (Pendery) 7pm

Highlands @ CovCath 5pm

Holmes vs. NCC 7pm @ Dixie

"Conner plays tonight at 5 at cordero and then goes to play St. Henry at St. Henry. "

SK may have something to say about that.....just sayin'

You are correct. Conner plays tonight at 5 at cordero and then goes to play St. Henry at St. Henry.

Don't put the cart before the horse. Conner has a really nice team, but strange things could always happen.

Conner beat SK 10-0 & is heading to St Henry.

Highlands beat Cov. Cath. 5-4 @ CCH. Birds led 5-2 going into the 7th and the Colonels scored 2 and had the tying run on third...Birds brought in Trent Casebolt to face a CCH pinch hitter and Casebolt struck him out swinging to end the game!

Beechwood beats Scott 5-3 getting out of a 7th inning bases loaded jam. At Meiken now. Probably wont get to finish if the rain doesn't stop. The parents just look thrilled to be sitting in this rain. Haha....

Heard 8th grader Ethan Doty threw a gem through 6 innings but had to be pulled after 90+ pitches. Great to see FR Casebolt nail down the save for the Birds. Had the pleasure of helping his Dad coach him in knothole 3 years ago. Absolutely thrilled for him. Wonderful kid with great parents.
