April 29, 201313 yr Is every team gonna make this type of announcement? Why? Because silence could be mistaken for interest. Seahawks G.M. on possible Tebow interest: ?Uh, no.? | ProFootballTalk
April 29, 201313 yr From Deadspin: Montreal Alouettes G.M.: "[Tim Tebow] can come here and compete to be the backup.... And one day he might be the guy; that's our vision." Oof. Aussie Rules, then? He'd do fine in the CFL. My guess is the GM's pride is hurt because anytime there's a cast off in the NFL the CFL is mentioned as a landing place. That has to sting.
April 29, 201313 yr I can not blame him for wanting to play QB as of now, he has been in the league how many years now 2 or 3? he started most of one year and WON! Then he went to the jets..who are a mess, and now all the sudden he is garbage to everyone?? Come on man, while he is not a polished typical qb, he does have some starts under his belt which would be ten times more than most rostered qbs in the league. If he got another shot at qb and could not do it then he should try out a new spot. Sounds kind of like Matt Cassel to me. Replaced Brady and went 11-5 and led the Pats to the playoffs. Look at him now. Just saying.
April 30, 201313 yr Jerry Jones will have his Tebow. Romo's back-up. I am calling it here first......... I would love to see Tebow in Dallas and to succeed - until Jerry Jones steps in and dicks it all up.
April 30, 201313 yr He will be in Jacksonville! Move over Blaine Gabbert, Tebow is coming to town! Would ruin me, but thankfully David Cadwell wants no part of Tebow. The Jags are gonna give Gabbert this year. He has the weapons, and now solid O-Line. If he can't get it done this year, they will draft high for a QB next year.
April 30, 201313 yr I'm not sure why so many people assume Tebow could just switch positions. I don't see him as a tight end...not big enough, not fast enough to create separation when running routes (assuming he can learn to run routes effectively). Fullback? How many teams run a true fullback anymore? It's a dying position. H-back is also mentioned as a possible position, but really, not many teams use that position either. It's really QB or nothing for Tebow, and he just doesn't have the skill set to be successful at that position long term.
April 30, 201313 yr I don't think any franchise wants to entertain that circus. That seems to be the consensus.

April 30, 201313 yr I think if the Bengals are lucky and have any intelligence they would be smart to consider throwing in a bid for TT. He would be a powerful asset to the Bengals offense at FB and TE, not to mention he could go in at back up QB if the situation were to come up when Dalton needs to come out.
April 30, 201313 yr Sounds kind of like Matt Cassel to me. Replaced Brady and went 11-5 and led the Pats to the playoffs. Look at him now. Just saying. Yeah sounds the same but, the Broncos were not winning (1-4) before Tebow took over...you can't compare what Tebow inherited to what Cassel inherited.

On WLW yesterday Tracy Jones was wondering how many different ways Gruden would find to utilize Tebow. We really don't need the focus here right now.
April 30, 201313 yr Yeah sounds the same but, the Broncos were not winning (1-4) before Tebow took over...you can't compare what Tebow inherited to what Cassel inherited. You're right. Cassel was given the keys to the car with less preparation to play than Tebow had while Tebow was given a bicycle on training wheels and Daddy never let go while Tebow was riding the bicycle. Cassel was told to go win and Tebow was told to just stay on the bicycle. The Broncos won despite Tebow and his ineptness.

And that's not even mentioning how this is Cassel's second or third team after subbing for Brady in that one year. Either you can play or you can't. Tebow and Cassel can't.
