April 30, 201313 yr On WLW yesterday Tracy Jones was wondering how many different ways Gruden would find to utilize Tebow. We really don't need the focus here right now. Well if you really think about it the leadership and talent TT has could be a great addition to the Bengals, not saying Dalton isn't a great leader at QB I'm saying having TT could greatly enhance the Bengals roster.

That would be the worse move ever. No one want to listen to that Tebow nonsense all season.
April 30, 201313 yr He'd do fine in the CFL. My guess is the GM's pride is hurt because anytime there's a cast off in the NFL the CFL is mentioned as a landing place. That has to sting. A QB has to be able to throw in the CFL....
April 30, 201313 yr A QB has to be able to throw in the CFL.... They can play up there if they have the other skills he brings. Perhaps the whirlwind that surrounds him would not follow him up there and he would have the opportunity to focus and possibly get better.
May 1, 201313 yr I told a buddy today that Jason Collins would be more likely to be on an NBA roster next year that Tebow would an NFL roster.
May 1, 201313 yr Just read where Tebow makes $2m a year in endorsements. That surprised me as I don't recall seeing him anywhere, guess I just haven't been paying attention. Since it apparently didn't matter if he made it on to the field, does it matter if he's even on a roster? I can't see him being able to generate that kind of endorsement money without even being in the league.

He probably has some endorsement stuff up in NY that we do not see.
May 1, 201313 yr I'm hearing Tebow to the Pats chatter. Why he should go there. Why they are the best for him. Will they go after Tebow? Anyone else hearing that?
May 1, 201313 yr I don't think someone being the "best" for Tebow is going to be in the equation. If anyone approaches him he should jump on it as there won't be many opportunities.

May 1, 201313 yr With all due respect 75, I'm sure you know that 99.999% of what Tracy Jones says is schtik, right? Don't listen to them enough to know but he did strike me that way. It did strike me that Paul Daughtery (sp?) from the Enquirer wondered the same thing this morning. I think it's more a comment on how they view Gruden than how they view Tebow.

May 2, 201313 yr Gruden is thought of as an offensive innovator and with the read option offense getting some love from a few people in the NFL people are putting the two together. It isn't going to happen, just media people filing their stories. I have seen several articles putting Tebow into teams to run the read option as a wrinkle to a team's offense. I can't see anyone taking on the media storm for a that though. Tebow could make someone a serviceable backup QB but the cost in distractions is just too high.

It boggles my mind most of the time. I had never heard of the Omaha Beef until today. You don't think Madison Avenue sees mileage here?
