Right or wrong or whether you think Tebow sucks at QB or think he hung the moon playing QB, his stock was at an all time high after he helped lead the Broncos to the playoffs (with a victory in which he passed for 300+ yards). The Jets took him for publicity and to dangle him in front of the fan base. I think this has pretty much been proven. Tebow may never have won/win another game, but I believe he earned that shot by going 8-5 the previous season. He was never afforded that shot. By all accounts the Jets were not forthcoming in the role they saw for Tebow.

I didn't realize you were specifically speaking about the Jets. I was thinking overall. I missed the word 'signing'. One word changes the whole context.

I believe the new GM hired after last season shot that one down. I believe if he wants to play he is going to have to move positions now. He seems like a proud individual so I am not sure he will do it. I still think last season he should have taken a stand and refused to be relegated to punt team or whatever gimmicky stuff they were trying to appease the fans with. If you think you are a QB, you do not do those type things. You can throw the, "then he wouldn't be a team player" nonsense back at him, but at some point you have to stand your ground.
