No one sucks as bad as Angel Hernandez.

Trade Bruce for Jason Larue.

Bruce with the, "swing hard in case you hit something" approach. Solid.

Bruce. He's outstanding in the field.

I didn't see the play referenced earlier when someone mentioned interference. Are you saying BP ran into the defensive player while he was making a play on the ball or did you mean the other way which would be obstruction by the defender?

BP forced them to make 5 throws in the rundown. He was eventually "tagged" out about 10 feet from second base while heading to second. He, the ball and the second baseman all got to the spot at about the same time. The second baseman was standing just on the infield grass. Phillips saw that and ran right at him. BP threw his elbow out as he ran by to try and cause contact and get obstruction called. The second baseman caught the ball above his head and swiped down and back. The umpire said that BP had been tagged on the lower back. Replays seemed to show that the second baseman only touched him with his elbow and not the glove. He was going for an obstruction call but he really ran right at the second baseman who was not initially in his path.

The Cardinals freaking suck. That's right they suck. And the Reds still can't beat them. Brook Jacoby has done wonders with the Reds hitters.

Cozart, Votto and Bruce remind me so much of the glory days of Castro, Benzinger and Redus.

Given the injuries and tough schedule I'm not too upset about 15-13.

Blasphemy. They are a miserable 2-3 against St Louis and injuries to your ace and cleanup hitter happen all the time. This team sucks... :taz:

Congrats @JayABruce on leading the NL in strike outs in the month of April. #40 Keep it up and you could break Stubbs season record of 205

Jay Bruce ‏@JayABruce

Thanks, @cwess21. I'm actually on pace for over 230. We'll see what happens!

Hahaha I love it. Adam Dunn would have just called his mother

Frustrating 12 of 28 games 2 runs or less, but they are still better than last year's team in April. Reds 15-13 2013; 11-11 2012. Long long season. They will hit eventually, starting pitching still among the best in baseball, as well as, bullpen. Cards are almost the same blueprint except their bullpen has killed them.

The cards bullpen has been brutal

I really wish Brook Jacoby would go. He may be able to teach the fundamentals of the baseball swing, but goodness gracious he has no clue on the mental side, or strategic side of hitting, and that's probably 90% of what his job is. There is no reason for these guys to swing at the stuff they do.
