Georgia Policeman Pulls Gun On Teen For Taking Too Long In McDonalds Drive-Thru Line

Featured Replies

A DeKalb County detective became enraged when a teenager held up the line by placing multiple orders and decided to let them know who they were dealing with. He is now charged with assault after a "severe break in judgement." That seems to be an understatement. Here's a quote from the victim:

“[W]e were waiting on them to cook the food,” says the driver, who happens to work at that McDonald’s but was just picking up some food with friends at the time of the confrontation. “And the cop — I didn’t know at first that he was a cop — pulled up behind us and waited about two minutes, two to three minutes…. And he got out and started yelling, yelling at us, ‘Stop holding up the drive-thru line,’ this that and the other. He walked back over to his car, got back in, and I said, ‘Sorry for the inconvenience, Sir.’ And he goes, ‘Who has the loud mouth?’ And I was, like, ‘I said that,’ not being smart or anything. He’s like, ‘Well, you never know who you’re messing with.’ And I was just like, ‘No, Sir, I don’t.’ He goes, ‘Keep your mouth shut.’ I was like, ‘I’m sorry.’ He’s like, ‘Well, you don’t know who you’re messing with. And there’s some crazy people out there.’ And that’s when he pulled the gun on me, and kept on yelling at me for about thirty more seconds. And then walked off.”

This guy must have really needed that Big Mac. Everyone is lucky it didn't go further. He didn't identify himself as an officer--what if the group in the truck had been carrying? We could have had an incident like the one in Bowling Green.

I just can't figure out what he was thinking. He must have been having a really, really bad day.

Clearly! I'm glad the kid was so Polite during the confrontation....

From the article..

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Major Rick Doyle told WSB-TV that Biumi, 48, pulled out his service weapon and yelled curse words at them. He put his head, shoulders, and the gun he was holding through the truck’s window and yelled at the men inside.

Biumi was driving an unmarked police car and was wearing normal clothes in the incident.

“It appears that he had a severe break in judgment,” Forsyth County Sheriff Duane K. Piper told the Forsyth News. “It appears that the entire situation evolved from him being angry at the time it was taking for him to get his food.”

Ryan Marsch, 18, said Biumi put his hand on his shoulder and “pulled the gun and put it, pointed it at, like, my neck area,” according to 11 Alive television

Wow, how in the world does waiting in a drive thru get to that point? If this is all true, who cares what the kid says if he wasn't making threats.

He should absolutely 100% be fired today and never work in LE again. Loose cannons on power trips is just what our crazy society needs.

"Now being served at participating McDonalds...the new McHissyfit...try with a side order of Glock 21...yuuuuummmmmyyyyyy".

He was having a Big Mac Attack. And Obama wants to take guns from legal citizens and allow police to carry them. If guns are banned, ban everyone from them, even secret service, bodyguards, even the ones protecting his girls.

Idiot cop. He's lucky he didn't get shot.

Since the authorities are conceding the allegations are true (at least it appears that way) I agree with you. Additionally, I think a small amount of jail time is in order.

And it is the one bad dumb cop like that, that gives every other cop a bad name and rap.

Everyone is allowed a bad day or mistake, but not like that.

If you're in a big hurry for food, it's been my experience that a Mickey-Ds drive-through may not be your best option.
