"Friends" tv show making a comeback? Set for 2014

Featured Replies

According to multiple websites, apparently NBC has confirmed that the hit tv show "Friends" will be coming back.

Some sites have it where it's not known whether the original cast returns, and other sites claim that the deal has been agreed upon by all the original cast for $5 million a piece.

Stay tuned as we see if this is true or just some hoax someone got started.

I'm not buying it.

Weren't they making $1million per episode each when it ended? But then again you can probably get them cheaper now, none of them have really tore up the big screen or little screen since Friends ended.

But I'll believe it when I see it.

Me neither, I'm just passing it along though.

A few things stick out to me:

* The articles say "NBC confirmed" but yet no article actually has quotes from NBC itself.

* They say that the entire cast is returning for $5 million and that it is for presumably a whole season.

* Who in the world is Star Media anyway.

Just seems too fishy to me. Not saying it's not true because I could see that as well. None of the cast is currently lighting it up on screen anyway. Courtney Cox is doing Cougar Town but that's hit and miss, Matthew Perry is getting ready to have Go On canceled, Matt LeBlanc is doing okay with Episodes. Aniston isn't doing anything at the moment I do not believe, and Kudrow the same.

^ and just like always Schwimmer is forgotten :lol2:

Haha, I thought I was missing someone but really didn't double check...Poor Ross...

According to IMDB Aniston currently has roles in four movies that are in pre and / or post production which will be released in 2013 and 2014.

Yeah, I usually wait until they actually start filming before I believe those.

On IMDB I've seen a bunch of actors in "pre-production" of movies that either were never made or they dropped out.

Me neither, I'm just passing it along though.

I think I saw where Cougar Town has been renewed for next season, so I don't know if Courtney Cox would be available.

I must be the only person out there who wasn't a big Friends fan.

Fixed it.

I'm with you, McPapa.

I don't know, Jennifer Aniston, Coutney Cox, Matthew Perry, and Lisa Kudrow (to a lesser degree) have done pretty well for themselves outside of Friends. Matt LeBlanc bombed with the "Joey" spinoff from Friends. I have no idea about Schwimmer. I remember him from an episode of Entourage but that is it. That is crazy they were making $1,000,000 an episode at that time.

I resisted the urge for years to watch it and finally gave in to it. I never watched it during its run on television but early-to-mid 2000s I caught quite a few episodes. Often times when TBS will do multiple episodes in a row I will catch myself watching it and not understanding why. The same thing happened to me with Dawson's Creek. Did I really just say that?

I'd put Schwimmer over Perry. The Madagascar trio of movies is pretty big and he was in Band of Brothers (was that post-Friends?) I'm not sure how active he has been since Friends, but those 2 things stick out more than anything that Perry has done.
