How is that your point?

It was a joke. The purchase of the rings would be a mere blip in the OSU athletic budget.

Why didn't the 96 UK officials feel that way for bball?

Urban is harsh in practice but shows his gratitude also.

Maybe, but it's all about gestures now a days when courting recruits, especially at OSU's level, and this was a solid gesture. As with Original Rookie, I'm no Ohio State fan, either.

The NCAA sanctions handed down to Ohio State prevented the team from having a shot at winning the Big Ten Championship or BCS National Championship last season, but the sanctions didn’t stop Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer from handing out rings to commemorate his team’s 12-0 season.

Meyer had promised his players rings for going undefeated in 2012 and he delivered in a big way.

Soon to be found on EBay.

Heaven forbid someone sell their property on ebay, what scum would do such a thing.

I don't like OSU but for one I don't have any issues with them getting rings and celebrating a great season.

I am an OSU football fan and agree, more than that I wanted to give you a :thumb: for not blindly hating. There is certainly enough of that to go around. :lol2:

Had OSU claimed some kind of championship by issuing the rings then I would be blasting them myself. With that said, I have no problem with or without the rings.

All that was honored was an unbeaten season in a year that the players had no championship to play for. The ones there stuck it out and dedicated the season just to the satisfaction of knowing that they went out everyday , worked hard knowing 12-0 or 0-12 they would go to the same level of post season....none.

OSU was on probation, should have been and to my knowledge were not protesting /saying that "we should be champs" like some other teams have done. The Buckeyes had a different coach and the main player mentioned in all allegations was gone.

So, if some want to make jokes, fun of it then by all means knock yourself out. Should the Buckeyes go unbeaten again and get the chance to play for yet another Big10, National Title then they (and myself) will be the ones laughing at all the whiners. :)

:idunno: Uh, o.k. I still have to ask....and your point is ?

I HATE OSU and don't really have a problem with this.

Exactly, they were not trying to say anything other than "we stuck it out and were unbeaten" I know most here don't like OSU but see no reason for any disdain for this.

:thumb: Very good point, I love UK as well and no one complained.

Soon to be found on EBay.
 :lol2:

On the side they say "could have possibly been 13-0, but we cheated!"
