Official: Markel McClendon transfers to Holmes

The state doesn't have the time to fight everyone in Court.

You are right, the state shouldn't have to even fight at all. It is a complete joke they even have rules because no one abides by them. Let's face it, there are no rules, you can do whatever you want.

Should be where the KHSAA makes a rule, end of discussion. Make it cut and dry. Does the governing body in Ohio have the same problems enforcing their rules or do their students and parents do whatever they want?

Here is my two cents and I know what that is worth...the KHSAA has obviously turned an oblivious eye to transfers and that benefits Holmes in hoops and I have great regard for their basketball prowess past, present and future; however, at the same time I don't want to hear anymore bellyaching from the Holmes faithful about how badly they get beat in football by Highlands and CovCath. Holmes sport is basketball, but then if they are getting drilled by the Bluebirds and the Colonels in football no whining about money, transfers to Ft. Thomas and Park Hills or anything like that. Take your whipping and be quiet on the gridrion.

Hey, Chames and Pouncy were able to play immediately after being expelled despite a rule saying you can't leave a school for discipline reasons and play immediately. My guess is this kid plays without question.

Come on Clyde....you're better than this. Posting personal stuff about kids? Not cool.

When has anyone ever complained about this? I know I haven't. The only people I see/read complaining are non Holmes people who dislike those two programs. I'm actually a fan of Highlands and defend them when people throw out uneducated accusations.

The funny thing is, Holmes has lost probably 7 kids to transfer over the past 3 yrs and you hear nothing about it...kid transfers in and there's 4 pages about why the khsaa should step in and do their job and rule the kid ineligible.

But TRUE

True or not, you shouldn't be posting kid's personal business on a public forum.

Wally,

Clyde brings up a truthful statement and you squirm all over the place. You really struggle facing true statements if they don't go your way. There are many many more situations like that happening over the last few years you are lucky Clyde only brought one up.

I don't consider getting expelled from a school to be personal business. That's like everyone in the room knowing something but no one acknowledging it.

That's not personal stuff. Personal stuff would be if I said WHY they got kicked out.

And there's many many things I know about as well about other kids/schools but DON'T say anything because their personal life is nobody's business.

I could care less whether a kid from Holmes or Covcath or Conner is being talked about...and trust me, there's a lot from last season alone that I could put out. It's called being respectful of KIDS and their families.

That it would... My point is, why bring up something that has happened to a kid in the past just to try and prove a point that you think the khsaa should do their job and rule a kid ineligible.

Walter get real, he never attended Villa he attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and is an 8th grader. No transfer rules about 8th graders!

BTW he is the older brother still attending HC?

What older brother? I think you mean cousin.

Again... Funny how some are upset and think a kid who transfers in to Holmes should be ruled ineligible yet kids who transfer out, you hear nothing about.
