March 29, 201313 yr Looks like things are starting to heat up a little bit right now.... North Korea orders rockets on standby to hit US bases - state media ? RT News - North Korean rockets ordered on standby as they target U.S. Installations North Korea 'burning with hatred' for US after stealth bomber missions - Telegraph - the U.S. flys B2s over South Korea conducting dummy ordinace drops which incense North Korea. North Korea responds by more threads and what "appears" to be more political posturing. They severe their final military connection line with the South Koreans. The new military pact signed by the South Koreans and the U.S. last week has not eased tensions. UPDATE 1-U.S. flies Stealth bombers over South Korea in warning to North | Reuters - basically just more things saying that the B2 fly overs are stern warnings to the North Koreans not to try anything rash. More threats of the usage of nuclear weapons on U.S. installations including South Korea, Japan and Guam. Fox News has also reported that the U.S.S. Freedom combat ship has shown up at the scene. I know there have been threats like this for ages from North Korea but they seem a little bit too common now since the change in leadership to the son. With the recent movement of military in the area too, things are beginning to get a bit more tense. Granted this could all still be political posturing but it seems to have increased in the level of intensity based on the moves each side has shown. Even a small incident could spark something that we may not want. Any chance this is all smoke and no fire? Edited March 29, 201313 yr by Show Stopper
March 29, 201313 yr Kim Jung Un is an idiot and trying to preserve his power by showing his strength to his people. North Koreans have little to no contact with the outside world and actually believe that his father and he are the great benefactors and that they would perish without them. This little :poop: is about to get a reality check.
March 29, 201313 yr Author I have a friend who lives in Japan and from what he tells me is that the Japanese are very, very uneasy about all this. Japan doesn't much of an army per se (his words, not mine) and if Kim Jong Un wanted to, he could launch a missile anywhere they wanted and there would be nothing they could do to stop it. The japanese in general think the man is absolutely crazy and are taking this treat and situation very seriously. Lots of worried folks right now.
March 29, 201313 yr US can put an Ageis Cruiser in the general area and can probably shoot down anything that comes in range. I think all Japan is allowed to have is a miniscule defense force per their surrender in 1945. I think any launch by NK is suicide, but that guy is nuts...so you never know what he will do. You would think military would over throw him prior to them getting annihilated.

Yeah what my friend said was that they employ a small defense force of some kind that is small in number and they can't go outside the country unless in very rare circumstances as dictated by the UN.
March 29, 201313 yr I think we pretty much take care of all of their big security needs...I read somewhere that there were currently at least two carrier strike group within range of NK on patrol
March 29, 201313 yr Rodman can't get back over there soon enough to reinitiate peace talks. I do worry about some of the nearby countries because there is no telling what Un will ultimately do. I know a lot of it is chest thumping, but I would not want to live anywhere near that place.
March 29, 201313 yr What's the old saying...a man's penis in inversely proportional to the size of his rockets?
March 29, 201313 yr I've come to the conclusion that Kim Jong Un must literally be crazy if he thinks North Korea can really beat the United States (and the entire rest of the world). I'm guessing his pop spent a little too much time reading him The Mouse That Roared at bedtime when he was a kid.

March 30, 201313 yr Totally unrelated, hope a scenario doesnt pant out like this This video is older and NSFW, but I think its hilarious

Many think this is leaders in the military.
