Who will replace Alan Mullins at Ryle?

Featured Replies

I'm do glad that everyone at every school tells Walter everything. There's no possible way anyone else could know what they're talking about.

Back off my boy Walter......with his in depth reporting of 9th Region hoops he has many contacts in NKY, so I tend to give credence to what he has to say. Keep up the good work Walter.

Did anyone hear how Rod Snapps interview went?

Far from it. He wishes.

From what I understand, no interviews until the week after spring break.

I don't wish to be anyone. I've built my reputation with coaches and players by being myself.

And trust me, i could care less what your opinion of my work is. The contacts I've gained and people I've been fortunate enough to meet speaks for itself.

Just to clear a few things up: Ryle hasn't even formed their search committee yet, they have not reviewed any of the applications, and there are no "leading contenders" for the job. All the speculaton in this post is, I assure you, nothing more than guesswork. My source, btw, is as solid as it comes.

Wow talk about opposite ends of the stratosphere. Gotta love this stuff. Who's right, who's hiding something, who has an agenda??? I don't know, but one poster says no committee yet, another says an interview has already taken place.

Personally, I'd tend to figure Coop knows what he's talking about on this, though I have no clue of his contacts. I do know that these things are not like the college hiring process. They are almost always methodically done and take some time. Very seldom do administrators reach out to coaches at other schools early in the process or form a group of "early favorites."

I also believe Coop is correct on this. Wouldn't be surprised with an announcement just before May.

Just like when hiring a Principal or a teacher, the desired target gets the real, "unofficial - official" interview and handshake AND THEN the process is played out ONLY as a formality. Not saying this happens all the time and I'm not saying this has happened here, but it is a bit naive to think things happen in a more linear fashion.

Don't be so sure Baba Booey doesn't have some info inside the coaching circles, ennam_iv also makes a great point.

From talking to those who would have "inside info," the same 4 names keep coming up.... Snapp, Blevins, Bowman, someone out if the Lex/Lou area with ties to Turner.

More like Don King...

"I'm a promoter of the people for the people and by the people and my magic lies in my people ties. I'm a promoter of America. I'm American people. You know what I mean? So therefore, uh, do not send for who the bell tolls 'cause the bell tolls for thee."

With everything I've read on here about the this position it sounds like you all are saying that this will be strictly a Northern KY hire only or someone who has strong ties to Northern KY?

Would be surprised if someone not affiliated with that statement got the job.

Agreed.
