Are there any coaches outside the 9th that could possibly get this job? I keep hearing Jim Hicks from Grant County as a possible candidate at some openings and Brandon Grammer is mentioned with Ryle and Highlands. Does anyone see them or any other candidates as serious contenders for these jobs?

I don't see Hicks leaving Grant for at least another year. Hicks is all about wins and with next years team at Grant, they will be serious contenders for the 8th. However, if the administration wants him out, then he may leave early. He really doesn't hang around one place for very long.

JIm HIcks of Grant Co is a possibility, IMO.

I've been hearing the same 3 names for the job, however.

So Snapp, Blevins, and Goetz are your finalists? Not a bad list. Goetz did resign at HC so it looks like he thinks he's going to get a job at a public school. Blevins is in the district already. Snapp has had moderate success at Newport.

Goetz has never made it to regional tournament.

Blevins has no head coaching experience, but they did hire Mullins under same resume.

Snapp has had success at a program where he didn't have to deal with what he was dealt. Able to bring in players from Cincy.

There are pluses and minuses on every candidate. My gut says Hicks or Blevins.

As a coach, yes.

It would be interesting to see Blevins vs. Sullivan. IMO Blevins is a strong candidate for any head coaching job even without varsity experience. If you could see is work ethic and how the kids respond you would understand. I'm not saying that other coaches don't work hard but he just seems to know how to relate to his team and get the most out of them.

Blevins should be considered a strong candidate for any job he decides to pursue. Dude has a lot of experience with basketball and dealing with kids, regardless of coaching title.

I personally like him to either get this job or Highlands...if he has any interest and decides to apply.
