March 14, 201313 yr Signifies no Free Agent signings Or could it be the Bengals' fans playoff hopes going "up in........................."
March 14, 201313 yr Didn't they sign the guy out of prison? And Aaron Maybin and several of their own free agents.
March 16, 201313 yr Signifies no Free Agent signings And no new non-family member GM. But it does mean that Futurecoach thinks they are doing things right and will be in the SB. I said it before even Marvin Lewis stated it that the Bengals wouldn't try to go out and sign anyone. They had a lot of cap space but that cap space needs to be used on guys on the roster and extending their contracts that will be coming up soon. I rather no over pay for someone this year who doesn't deserve it and then not have the money to keep AJ Green, Geno, Burfict, Dunlap, and maybe even Dalton depending on how he does this year. How well did the big Free Agency winner in last off season do this past season in Tampa Bay? I could be wrong but were they in the playoffs? I would also like to know what exactly free agent out there do you all think the Bengals should have really went hard after that could have made such a big difference? The only two I would have liked to seen them go after were Greg Jennings, and Ellerbe the linebacker from Baltimore. Other than that there really not anyone that would have made a drastic improvement for this team. Keep the current team intact, have money to keep the young talent they do have, and keep building through the draft which they have drafted well recently. Just because a team is signing free agents, doesn't mean it is always whats best for the team.
March 16, 201313 yr I will say this there are a couple of players still out there that for the right price it would be nice to see them go after. However there is no one out there really would be worth overpaying for just to say they signed someone.

March 16, 201313 yr So glad I got rid of my tix. What a terrible stock and greedy business man to give money too.
March 16, 201313 yr So glad I got rid of my tix. What a terrible stock and greedy business man to give money too. For the people wanting them to go out and get free agents. Which guys do you think they should have targeted that would have made a big difference for this team in taking that next step, and how much would you have been willing to spend and on how many guys? Then also think about it if it would have been worth to keep those guys to possibly lose some of our own young talent on the team who will need contract extensions soon? Yes the Bengals in the past have been stupid not to try harder in free agency. However you don't just go sign people just to sign people. Especially if there are not really to many people out there that would have been someone that definitely would make the team better. There were very few that could have done that.
March 16, 201313 yr So glad I got rid of my tix. What a terrible stock and greedy business man to give money too. Yep. got rid of mine years ago. I know HT bailed a couple of years ago. Nice to see a few people get it.:thumb:

Nice to see a few people get it.:thumb: It would be nice to see if people can also get that it doesn't matter what you do Mike Brown would move the team before he changes his way. We as fans won't get him to change anything even if everyone stops going, it won't matter. That is what people need to get. I know for me I have been to almost every single game the last two years and loved every minute of it. I have seen a team who has gotten better and not the bad teams of the past that people can't get over. I have had good times at games even the ones they lost. Getting to spend time with family and friends tailgating, and then watching football at the game its a great day. There are a lot worst things I could be spending money on, and I don't regret it one bit and I definitely "get it". I get that Mike Brown is not changing his ways, so I am not going to let it effect me from doing something I enjoy.
